  • On Norway's rugged Atlantic coast lies the Havlandet archipelago of islands. For most of the year, strong winds blow here, and the waves crash against the steep coastal cliffs.
Many tourists have been to the City of Ålesund but did not even imagine that just two hours away to the southwest there is a unique opportunity to meet the cutest bird - the Atlantic puffin.
Their nesting period is from April to early August. But in the summer, crowds of tourists scare the puffins, forcing them to hide in their burrows. But in the spring, when there are still not many visitors, the birds rest on the rocks, preening their feathers and allowing themselves to be seen better.
The main goal of this trip was to meet and capture the Atlantic Puffin through the lenses of our cameras! But the journey turned out to be no less interesting and exciting, because along the way we passed many aerial and architecturally unusual bridges. And some of them had only one lane with a passing area in the middle!
Also, the marine life of the Atlantic coast is rich in color and diversity and it was difficult to tear yourself away from looking at the underwater vegetation or jellyfish.
We've been keeping an eye on the weather forecast all week, as the weekend was forecast to be cloudy and gray, so we were very pleased with the improvement in the situation. After all, photographing puffins admiring the sunset over the Havland islands is the best reward for the 700 kilometers from our home in the southeast of the country.
For your convenience, we have drawn a map and also duplicated all the names of bridges and places. We hope you enjoy the video and find it useful in planning your ideal trip to Norway.
