Same here. I was 16 when i discovered this. Since i was 18, i went to Defqon every year (my first was 2015). But there is more, Defqon changed my life and made me, who i am. And now, i am a lighting technician who makes lightshows. Not big ones like Defqon, but lets see. My biggest dream is to do lights at a Defqon stage.

This is where i really meet Hardstyle. This music, this show, this colors, this atmosphere, this kinda love and unity. I never felt it again since the 90's trance movement, where i grow up and after was a part of it as DJ. Im 44 now, but this is the real life my friends. This is freedom, this is where you can be you. Amazing world level event.

For everyone saying there are too many phones, im gonna give you the reason why this is okay.
1. This is a hard dance festival, it has 100,000x more energy then any house festival or dubstep show. Hardstyle has over 150 beats per minute, meaning you dance and go crazy at 150 BPM All damn day.
2. Look at this damn light show.. Do you see that light show? look at that light show. its beautiful i wanna capture some memories for my family at home.. look at those lights tho bro..
3. When you dance to high energy music for 10+ hours, you get tired, this is the end show for Saturday, im pretty sure people have the right to relax, and record a one of a kind Q Dance light show...

Q dance blu ray doesn't show "you" personally raging out or having a personal connection that you can share with your family and children who most likely will also be a super raver in the near future, theres a 10% chance you'll even see yourself in a blu ray DVD, which leads to no proof you were even there to begin with. And then again people get tired and want to chill out for the last 20 min till the next day. to enjoy the scenery and cool breeze. Hey man some phones now'days have some damn good picture quality. id rather have something to show off when i go back home.

Antoine Riviere How is the Q dance blu-ray gonna show your personal view of it? Seriously, most people who keep mentioning about the blu-rays of end show vids have probably never even been there or know how tiring it is to constantly dance to 150bpm for 10h straight.

You know, now in 2019 I want to share my story with hardstyle.
It started back in 2013, with this endshow, my father showed it to me and since this very endshow I have fallen in love with hardstyle and me and my father go from event to event to go crazy to this style, to this place we call home.
Even now on the morning of 2024. THis was my first and will always be my favourite endshow.
This video was what opened my eyes to hardstyle
Even seeing this after the 2022 . This is the one who converted me to hardstyle. One of the greatest aftermovies of all!!!!!!!!!! 100% Finally me and my wife can go to defqon 1 . Bucket list will be 1 less :) This as a older 45years old man . Older but not worn out. Embrace life !!!!

The first time I saw the video was around 2014. Even today, the bass, beats and melody still flow like blood through my veins. And this video will always remind me of my best friend at the time, Daniel. We laughed, cried, talked and didn't sleep together 😉. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the sincere friendship you gave me. Back then we promised each other that we would go to Defcon 1 together. Now Brigitte and I will try to fulfill our wish. I am grateful for every minute we were able to spend together and would never give this time back."

Ughhh i hate that people make such ignorant opinions to this recording.. this isn't something you really dance to it's an "end show". meaning its the closing to the specific day, and its whole purpose is a beautiful light show to look at. THERE IS NO DJ PLAYING. I came back again to watch this and people are still ignorant to Q Dance productions. Hardstyle has the most passionate crowd out of any other genre i have EVER seen in electronic music. Most of you are Americans who post this stuff.

I first came across it in 2015 and since then I have been watching it every now and then and yet it feels equally ecstatic at each time. I also watched other year's endshows but none of them comes even remotely close to how well executed the 2013 was. They have literally created a benchmark that year for years to come but sadly I am yet to experience the same level of excitement as I have when I watch 2013 endshow. Hats off to the people who made it possible. The best thing is even if you were not there, you feel like that you are a part of that crowd every time you watch it. It is mesmerizing and beyond words to explain how you feel after watching it. Most of the times I am literally on the edge of my chair and my feet are kicking the floor like hell. I hope they create something like this one more time.

Andrew Jenks No, Thats a bit out of my range, haha. I'm Belgian. I did party's like defqon, q-base, qlimax, Exqlusive, q-dance presents headhunterz hard with style, hard bass, tomorrowland, reverze and so on... But defqon sure is one of the highlights. It has the most spectacular endshow for sure.
