Sick bike. You mentioned a “modern front end” and immediately followed that up with the triple clamps being 22mm. I’ve had a 2005 crf450r that I have had since 2005 and besides the suspension, everyone was going to the 22 back then as well, I’ve still got my sick ano red applied racing double triple clamp on mine. Keep up the good work!
Two strokes are awesome! Let's make two strokes great again! The rider commented that he had more fun than anyone riding a four stroke. Honda are you listening?
Gonna be building a 2001 for woods and single track, plush up the forks, flywheel weight, full engine rebuild stock but full boyesen reed cage, billet hubs and triple clamps , led headlight and new lighting stator
Cdi out of an f? Or just a newer year 250 box? Are ignition stators to cdi harness connectors plug n play from the different years, and I doubt, different models?
Same here, Im thinking he meant to say cr 250 2001?I have the 2001 and they do rev high.Would think they would plug and play from the different years someone who has done the change might be able to chime in.cheers

good night, I am from Argentina and I am remodeling one of these bikes , I would need to know which model is the front of this bike because when I saw it, he taught me to fall in love , thanks to all greetings from Argentina and live the 2 stroke
Most likely just limited production so they bought what was available at the time. A ton of people run that preferred set up on many different bikes. Nothing to worry about 👍🏼
I owned a 2000 CR250 back then. It was easily the slowest 250 on the market. You had to dump all kinds of money into that engine. It was reliable no doubt, but slow.

I have the same bike(2000 cr 250). Currently rebuilding it with Prox parts. This bike will never be for sale. 😁
As a proud owner of a 2000 CR250 as well, I approved this video. Grettings from Canada!

Where did you get the graphics from, I bought a cheap set and they started to peel after 1 ride?
Hold up. The CDI from the 250f can be used??? I would of never of thought that was possible.

CR250f CDI with a raised rev limiter? I doubt it’s from a 250f, but that’s what he says...

What material is the frame protector?
Grip tape
Pm if anyone is interested I have those whee and hubs with a set of SFF spring shows A kit suspension all have 3 hours of riding time.
Oh yea all from JGR. Matching ride engineering triple clamps and linkage
Does it compare to a stock new yz250?
Definitely
The yz hasn’t changed in over a decade so yes
"higher compression piston?"
all the time and effort put into this build and a wiseco crank was used .. #facepalm
Gross!!! A wiseco bottom end
