Why get married if you’re just going to live together and act like already married? Too easy to say “f” it and give up if unmarried through trials and tribulations of relationship/cohabitation without commitment of merged assets, etc. just sayin…
@@reeree3641 I think that is the mindset of people who don't actually value marriage. If you're serious enough to commit to be engaged to eachother you shouldn't be holding back wife/ husband privileges (Unless you both practice celibacy). You don't "act married" the day you get married, the way you treat your fiancé should be the same way you treat your wife.
Living with someone is the only way to truly get to know them, it's easy to ignore red flags or get stuck in the "honeymoon stage" when you don't live with someone, you also spot things like habits/ behaviours that will make or break a relationship before your trapped in with marriage, mortgage and kids. I always advise my friends to live/ rent with their girl for at least 6 months before they make the real big commitments.
I don't believe a couple can be battle tested until they live together. Don't you think it's easier to say 'f' it during trials and tribulations when you don't have mutual assets to lose?
