You can use olive oil in place of it. That has me thinking. These elderly ladies live/lived for many years, like my grandmama in her 90s and I remember mine using lard for everything. Had "lard" written right on the can. She never went to the doctor and was rarely sick. I can't even remember her even having a cold. All this fast, processed food is killing us.

I am the connoisseur of MacaroniSalad in our family and while we have similar styles - I have never used cucumbers in mine - and I can imagine the taste of them in my next one- excited to use your recipe ❤
Lisa, make sure you use an "English" cucumber they contain less water than regular cucumbers. An "English" cucumber is what Maw maw is describing in the video. They are wrapped in clear sulaphane and are longer than regular cucumbers. I use them in my garden salads because they don't make everything soggy. You do not want to use regular cucumbers in your macaroni salad either because they might release too much water into the macaroni salad. Wise to use English cucumbers. That's what Maw maw used in this video. Also looked like she peeled the cucumber skin off.
That macaroni salad looks delicious!! I prefer Kraft mayo also! The Tupperware ham keeper I recognized right away. My mom had it years ago when I was growing up. Really enjoyed the video! Thank you! ❤️

Bless you and your family. This is the best. Value your elders and their wisdom when they share. ❤
Watched earlier but, got busy and couldn't comment yet. That macaroni salad turned out so pretty. All the colors. Gonna make some next week. 73 and looking young! She's able to do way more than me. God is keeping her young for a reason. He's got things for her to do. Like this for the church kids and for videos for us. Ones like me that are almost home bound. I really enjoy watching and learning. God bless you both for bringing us these videos! They mean a lot to me! Love you guys!
Thank u and we love you to and we will be praying for u here
Corey, Your Mamaw is AWESOME!! I just subscribed to your channel and can’t wait to catch up on what I’ve missed! You’re so lucky to be able to do this with Mamaw!! 🥰💕😇

I just came across this lovely video!
She's precious and I especially appreciate her no frills way of cooking!
I really enjoyed the video! Made me hungry and very relaxed as well!
What a treasure (and role model) your Mamaw is ~ selflessly preparing this delicious dish for others with so much love! ❤️
She’s precious 🥹🥰 Thank you for sharing Mamaw with the world. ❤
Hello Christina
How are you doing today?
When you get older, you will be so thankful you did this. I wish social media was available when I still had my precious grand mama.❤
This is just so sweet. It brings tears to my eyes because i wish i was able to do this with my grandmother. She would have probably thought it was so funny. What i wouldnt give to cook with her by my side one last time. Mawmas pasta salad is definitely one that im going to try now. Thanks for such awesome content.💜
How I miss my grandma! Some dishes I make just bring back so many memories. One that I don’t know if I could ever achieve her standard. I always compare my chicken and dumplings with hers. Delicious silky gravy and dumplings like clouds!!! Oh my, it was absolute perfection.
She is absolutely precious and I LOVE all her recipes, but most of all how she gives God the glory.❤
Well, thank you. I enjoyed watching the video and just subscribed. God bless Blake family.
Aww I love this !!! Reminds me of my mom so so much!! She was a southern cook as well. Thank you sweet Lady for the videos and for your grandson for doing this. Truly adorable and I love it !!
Nice must have sweet relish in mine 😊😊
I love seeing these grandma videos! Grandmas are such special people! Make sure you cherish her! ❤
Thank you madam for all your recipes. I will surely try them.
Use an English cucumber for more flavor and crunch
Amen!!
I put more flavouring in mine pepper herbs etc..& squeeze of lemon or red wine for a bit of tang
Black pepper is not a miss
That macaroni salad looks delicious!! I prefer Kraft mayo also! The Tupperware ham keeper I recognized right away. My mom had it years ago when I was growing up. Really enjoyed the video! Thank you! ❤️

Your mom is so sweet, she gives glory to God for being able to still make her potato salad..Absolutely! He is the One that keeps her going! Watching from India, I must try this for my family. It's so American 😊
It's southern American, they make the best food!
The LORD bless you for serving in His ministry by cooking for church youth & giving God all the glory.

Thank you, Corey and thank you to your Mamaw - for not only giving us this recipe/tutorial but also for sharing the love of the Lord! God bless you both!
Wonderful to record this. My grandpa raised me and he was cook / owned his own restaurants. Unfortunately I was never able to record him but I wish I could have. You keep doing this with your grandma. It’s priceless. God bless
My dad too had family restaurants. We all worked in them. Oh how I wish in those days we could film him. The recipes are basically lost. It makes our hearts warm everytime we talk about our family restaurants and customers. He was in the businesses for 30 years then retired. Passed in 1988.
She is amazing!! Ty. For sharing memaw with us..
She is a joyful woman in Christ!!
I love her loving tender spirit..
