Very, very cool. Love the idea of an Estalian Army. Of course being an old hammer guy who left before AoS, I was expecting rank and file. lol. You found some great character figures too. That inquisitor is going to be a treat to paint for sure!
Ha yeah i like to be contrary 😅 .... i have some movement trays from Renedra that allow you to rank up round based models ! ... so hopefully i have all bases covered ! 😜
11:17 that scale problem is the reason I am not so comfortable with 3d printing yet... I don't have a printer, if I had I wouldn't know how big I should print a cannon... I know a person that I can pay them to print a miniature. But I am quite sure he doesn't know how big a cannon should be either.
Nice video! Your army looks amazing! My crew are Estalian Mercenaries led by Captain Pizzaro. Using these miniatures and some 3d print cannon from etsy. I will be making a snakmen army to fight them and accompanying jungle terrain. Love this box. Also Wargames Atlantic is coming out with Landsknecht Orgers that will fit in nicley.
@@battleknights9636 Ohh, so I should maybe do some of the Almugavars on round bases then, for whatever gaming system i will find for the conquistadors =)
Lovely stuff! Love the colour scheme you've gone for. Maybe try the cannon at 30% from its 20mm standard size? I think it's just the wheels that looked a bit too small on your 2nd print though, the actual barrel looked about right - anyway, on a base it'll be fine I'm sure whichever one you decide on! Looking forward to seeing these in action.
Congrats on a cool color scheme! For cavalry ... look into Eureka's fine line of Spanish and Portuguese for the same era. They have a great line of figures including small artillery pieces, dudes with dogs, and lots of fantastic infantry figures. Cheers!
The larger of the two cannons you printed could easily be a Falconet cannon, barrel should be approx 4-5 feet. The saker (or Falcon) cannons barrel is about twice as long.
I like the larger printed cannon, seems good for a force that isn't empire or dwarves. Also, I feel you should have some sort of mounted units - when I think conquistadors, I always think of a few leaders who are riding horses (even if everyone else is footslogging. Heck, it could just be the leader of a foot unit, and treat them as foot - he doesn't like to ride too fast). Also maybe porters & missionaries for support? (I don't know how that would fit into a fighting force, but maybe an objective or caravan). Cheers!
Yeah cavalry is something im thinking off ?! ... the roster has a fast cav , a medium cav and a "conquistador" cav units ( plus an actual unit of knights ) available... so im keeping an eye out for options
Movement trays from Renedra i believe is who makes them !? 🤔 .... i prefer rounds and im never gonna play in a tournament or event outside of my friends group .
@@battleknights9636 I'm of the same mind. I intend to base these guys just like you did yours. But the return of Warhammer the Old World got me to doubt that decision

Haha 😄 .... yeah i get ya .... it can be very trial and error but thier are alot of positives too !
Lovely figures! Those boxes look like they are so adaptable
Thanks 👍 ... yeah very useful kit ... so much variety
They looks so great, love them. I just got my two boxes now. I will change my pikes to long metal ones. Great video thx. 😃👍👍
Thanks Nic 👍.... out of interest where do you get your pikes from ?

Hey Matthew 👋... thanks mate ... im actually gonna put out a video in the next few days with a look how the army has progressed
@@battleknights9636 Awesome! I cannot wait to see it
I’m missing my left hand as well - slipped on snow, 2hrs ago & badly sprained it 👀 Hospital visit needed. May have to kitbash a new hand 🤪
Ha 😀.... if only it was that easy ! 🤔😅
Eureka has a conquistador range with loaders that would fit super nicely with the Atlantic minis
Youre right i had a look ! 👀😀
I just started working on a Tilean army and was thinking about using the Wargames Atlantic conquistadors as part of my army.
I really like the kit alot ! Very versatile.... so i say do it ! 😅
@Battle Knights Looks great! Would you mind sharing what colors you used?
Interesting that you ask that .... as ive been wondering if i like the colour scheme !? 🤔
Light guns, 3 pounders are small , so great job
Cheers 👍, its basically what im trying to represent aesthetically and rules wise
Oooh, conquistadors!
Nice paintjob! do like the red/black scheme =)
I havent found a box of those minis yet =( but eventually i will =)
Thanks mate 👍 .... ironically im looking to pick up a box of the almugavars for this army ! 😅

Thanks mate 👍 ... i was thinking maybe 10/ 15% more too .... but thats a good observation about the wheels ... 🤔
Great to see what you have been up to. Foundry miniatures do a canon in 28mm for that range of Spanish infantry.
Thanks Marc 👍 just found it and a host of casualty figures !! ..... i may have a problem ! 😅

Aah cheers Mark , i will defo do that , thanks mate ! 👍
Hey wonderfull army i want to make something similar. Where is the mage from?
Viva estalia!!!
That one i believe is from north star figures , from the frostgrave wizards range ! 🙂

Nice looking army. You based them on 25mm rounds. How will that work in Warhammer?

@@battleknights9636 for sure. Youve inspired me to make a little warband of some myself.
