There are very few tourists anywhere in Thailand except in the touristic areas. (I mean foreign tourists) It is very nice that Thailand managed to park the tourists in few places, keeping the rest of the country mainly unarmed: meaning not many people speaking English, no service for tourists (like bike rental), no night bazaar... Prachuap has Hua Hin and Cha Am at North that take care of the tourists. If you go a bit South, There is Cjumporn that is also nice and tourist free. That is genuine Thailamd. people raise with the sun, monks come to beg for food at 5am. If the city did not put monkeys in cages, soon every house would need to be put into cages to protect them from the roaming monkeys, cities have to act against monkey multiplication. Thailand has a major hospital in every capital of every province, then a minor hospital in every district and a dispensary in every subdistrict. Health in Thailand is top.
There are loads of "farangs" (foreigners) in PKK (Prachuap). Where I live now, in Laos, I see none, or at most, one a month. And those monkeys are the best behaved in all of Thailand - just sticking to Monkey Mountain and non-aggressive - they are lovely - you need to man-up. p.s. Don't go to Lopburi if you're scared of monkeys ...
Another day in Paradise. Thanks for sharing your sensitive thoughts about this little Town 👍
