This song has been a part of my life nigh on 10 years now. And just like I did when I was 15 all those years ago, to this day, the line "Better times are coming, better times ahead" still gets me to tear up like it did then. This song gave me hope as a kid, and Frank Turner was a huge inspiration and an amazing person every time I got to share a word with him at his concerts in the states. And I have a feeling this song will still be in my life for many more years to come.
"This song is about staying up late, it's about a game of cards, but most of all, it's about drinking whiskey with my grandma!" I heard Frank say this while I was watching a music festival on TV and fell in love instantly
beautiful beautiful beautiful! I love frank turner but this is the first time i listen this song and i think it's already my favorite.. I listened to many but not all yet.. I have to listen 'em all see what else I can find!. Already got my ticket to see him live :)
definitely words of wisdom....Think also of its metaphorical meaning....It doesn't matter where you end up after you try something!!!!! What matters is how you can "take advantage" of it!! I think there's a similar quote about it....:D
It's amazing how on any video on RUclips you'll see people trolling and swearing at each other but on Frank Turner videos everyone's singing together. :')
@mattygarratt9693 the intro/chorus is the same chord progression F-C-G (as well as many other tunes) but I think it sounds pretty unique compared to jumper
@siouxboy74 Really? Yuu predicted he would write a song about his dead grandmother visiting him in a dream. That is incredible! Have you ever thought of volunteering your services to the police?
@fusler he can't seem to get away from his punk roots, a bit like Chuck Ragan and Hot Water Music. They sound folksy but you can tell they come from the post-hardcore scene.
Why would anyone watch this then click dislike??? its brilliant and meaningful...another brilliant one from Franky T!!! Please check out my cover of i am disappeared :)

ha ha true but nothing in life is free
God this song is great but I gotta say the production standards are veering dangerously close to Willy Porter, just a wee bit too perfect, very slick.

@OppeltDrums

@stoner6790 the egg came first. end of story.

Sério, achei que ia ser o único a pausar o livro pra procurar a música kkk
E até gostei do cara, não conhecia.
Frank Turner is a libertarian. Not sure he'd appreciate this sentiment.
