Was at the yanchep lagoon yesterday completely glassy had a 55cm tailor of there was stoke guy nxt to me pulled 6 tailor different sizes. Good fun😅 w8ting for ghost fish

Hey mate 👋 yes the seaweed seems to be moving and the ocean calming down after all these storms making for fairly comfortable fishing conditions ✅😎 other then the wind that morning haha 😅🐟✅
Great video. Yes i also thought your braid knot was not the best. The locked half blood knot is fine for mono but can slip with braid. I go through the eye twice and back wrap the same number of turns ( usually around 9-10 with braid ) as you do when tying the first part of the 1/2 blood knot. A good rule of thumb is to double the size of the knot with braid compared to mono.

Nice work as always mate 🤙 Similar thing happened to one of my mates where he swore a mully was playing with his bait and then stopped. 5 minutes later his mate fishing next to him pulled in a mully.
Hahaha bloody fish man, you just never know what’s going to happen!! I fumbled and couldn’t turn the camera on fast enough but I was fully hooked up to that mully, pulling string and all then when I picked rod up and gave it a big strike I think I ripped the hooks out of it 🥲😅 then it came straight back for Angus bait within 10mins I reckon plus had a cube of scalie in it’s stomach that I had been using as burley, thing was just there pigging out 😂✅🎣 thanks for watching mate!!

I used to do those hour drives north but when you get up there and it's just sea weed and then spend hours going back south to find somewhere without weed it puts you off. I know you went with the easterly wind but still been caught out

hey mate, great fishing! been waiting for someone to show some beach content for a while. Ik no one wants to give away spots, but I'm desperate to find a nice beach to try and I was hoping you could give me the general area? I also think I figured that for the tailor, fresher bait like whole whiting works better on circle hook gangs. It lasts much longer against the pickers as well
Watch videos on learning to read beaches and it won't matter about tips, beach's change to much for them to be consistently amazing in the same spot day in/out.
Hey mate 👋 thanks heaps for watching! Beach fishing has been a grind lately with all the storms we have had, the big swell and seaweed makes things really challenging, how ever everything seems to be calming down now and beach fishing is now becoming more comfortable again ✅✅😎 with out giving away spots this was approx an hour away from Quinn’s rocks, how ever I often us to get awesome fish from Quinn’s 😃 and as mentioned below this where we where fishing is not always a “spot” the beach changes so much during the winter swells and lucky for me the beach had formed a beautiful deep hole between the shallow surf break making a great place for tailor & mulloway to hunt bait fish. This hole will likley be gone within the next week or so and then the search begins again for another good looking bit of beach, I agree whiting is my all time favourite bait for any fish, I just wanted to make a “tailor” video and I know it’s very common practice for people to use gang hooks to target tailor, personally I don’t like gang hooks give me a two hook snelled rig any day of the week haha 😂✅ hope this helps mate and good luck out there
Spot on mate! Beach fishing very different to boat fishing where a spot/chunk of reef will aways be there, beaches change daily & if you can keep an eye on what’s happening at your local beaches it gives ya a huge advantage 🎣✅ thanks for watching mate!

Hey mate if you mean how far where we casting? The big hole was right near the shoreline. Didn’t need to cast far at all other wise it would have landed up on a super shallow sand bank ✅🐟👍🏻

Hey mate 👋 thanks heaps for watching. The zone I’m fishing in this vid is a good example of a “good” beach spot. Just a nice deep hole well within casting distance with shallow white water around the deeper section, fish like tailor/mully will sit in these holes feeding on any bait fish,your bait, burley etc that come off the sand banks and into the hole. It’s not always all that obvious on the metro beaches though. In my opinion find what looks to be the deepest section of the beach or near structure, burley like mad and hope for the best 😂😎✅ hope this somewhat helps! Cheers mate
