You are the only other person I've seen so far who likes airborne infantry. I've never seen another player use them and the tutorials I've been watching all seem to hate them
I love having a mixed stack of air mobile units .
If you know how to stack with an officer it's pretty much assassin stack
@oldgoat they can have very fun playstyles especially when defending in my experience. Funny to cut off and surround units who think they got free reign in your land
because they aren’t good. They can be fun to use if you have a good team surrounding you but in general they’re bad
They are my current favorite they deal a lot of damage on players dependent on their infantry and tanks usually don't have AA's with them so I reduce the units attack and defence power then send in infantry and tanks to destroy them. And airforce is great because you can push without destroying your infantry and also reduce enemy power and let your infantry clean up you can destroy a country especially beginning of the game
I love airborne, why all the hate i never understood that tbh. I use them as QRF and as airfield takers. 😅

Hi, as a lowly corporal on my 10th game it is always useful to see how others play. I love air power and I'm surprised how few players go down the air route. I tend to use my fighters to locate the enemy then use strikers to take them out. I then follow up with recon/Infantry to actually take cities/provinces.
I avoid losing units as much as possible as it is cheaper to repair them rather than build new ones.
Early game I tend to select only certain units and stick with them, upgrading as I go.
I completely agree about using radar to see what the other guy is doing although I use AWACs, drones protected by fighters, and naval patrol.
The only time I have a problem is when I'm playing someone using the same tactics as me, it can then get bloody. When that happens I will contact them and see if we can form a coalition.
I tend to play just 1 game at a time and I'm retired so I am very active.
I use CON news a lot as there is a ton of valuable info there.
I also look at potential enemy stats to see how well they play and if I stand a chance against them.

Most people go for air and I think navy is the best. It's hard to stop a fleet of cruisers, but it's easy to beat aircraft with anti air.
@2000MrNathan MRL should be on equal footing with cruisers, at least range wise. If you can pair cruisers with rocket launchers and AA/AM you're prob untouchable

The mobile sam launchers are some of the most useful units in the game. I’ve shot so many planes and bombers down just having a stack of SAMS. If you’re invading and you can get an airfield down with some guys defending it and a stack of sams to protect it from air units, its such a good attack.
You should not worry about long videos if you are giving good and useful information and you are definitely doing it so just do it even tho you know, you are inactive but if you come back again just dont worry about that
I'm trying to get back in...building up test matches and testing strats but between my work and all the other crap I have going on it's hard to find more then 15 mins to work on this at a time:)

Fantastic video,! Very informative and i took a lot away from it so thank you for posting this. One thing i would do differently if i had your knowledge is make more videos that are shorter than this one. You could do a video on research, a separate vid on resources, a separate video on resources etc. Otherwise, ty for sharing your knowledge
ty for the video about the part at 1.15.59 ich the way you end a war is by taking every tiles belonging to the opponent country that also includes islands, so if the enemy your fighting against has taken a small island somewhere, the war will still be listed until you get the last one. often in greece people miss one of their tiny islands

ELMs are good way to go to if you don't like going tanks/anti tanks(only 900gold) ELM are essential if your active enough to use em

That is not how anti air works even other units. Every unit reacts to every unit/action against it at a time. Basically if you fire your cruise missle to trigger anti air they will do so and be on cool down. If any other unit action engages that anti air thats on cool down it will still fire at a new engagement. Same think goes for any unit. If you attack a gound unit with one unit and its on cd, you attack it with your 2nd unit it will respond to it.
I’m relatively new but I wanted to ask then, what would be the purpose of a cooldown? I’ve seen on multiple occasions people make videos talking about this very thing, where they trigger the AA and then strike after while it’s on cooldown. Is that only if they aren’t attacking that specific unit and just the area? I understand for every engagement on a troop, it will react with its respective defensive stat.
@@brendanboiyo I not sure that I understand your question. What zi am trying to explain is that every unit in the game in this main case we talking about anti air, they will always react to new unit attacking. For example, I tried myself this when a unit lets say enemy planes attack my ground unit. I would try to strike those plane with my air superiority fighters after they fired on my ground units and are returning. They would still fire back and defend themselves against my planes. Second thing I tried, i fired one missile alone to trigger enemy anti air defenses and fired more missiles after that first missile. The anti air got triggered by the solo first missile. However when they were on coold down they still engaged the group of my missile.
@@brendanboiyo in short, this theory in the video is not true and does not work. The cooldown/pause is not on a global level but on a personal level between any unit and eac unit in the engagement. You can't bypass it. The only think that will get you through enemy anti air or any unit is your stats such as attack and defense and health. I am 99% sure, not 100% about what I am saying.
@@armin7851 I understand completely what you’re saying. Making the comparison from Global VS Personal level made a lot of since. If it’s on cooldown, it’ll attack the same target again when it’s over, say, a plane in the air. However for every new target that attacks it, it’ll reciprocate the same. It’s confusing honestly especially when a lot of people talk about this as far as how to bypass AA. I would definitely like a better explanation or a guide from the source material ie., the creators of the game. Thanks for the explanation 💪🏼

I was having a good time for few days building russian empire, until a single division of Swedish tank destroyers with no anti air just carved its way across Russia , I hit it all day with 2xsu25 fencers ,2xmi8 gunships , and 2x naval helogun ships. And they just had over 170 hp and I took almost nothing off them.
They also damaged my air units about 5 points each in the engagements. Seems pretty unfair
bad strategy, you should have only 1 or 2 types of air force in the early game and you should have bigger than 2x stack. you should build another air base on day 1 and train 2 jets per day., then by day 6-7 you have 10x. Conserve your starting units and train infantry in the other 3-4 cities you have, build a bunker in your cities and stack units in them before the enemy stack gets there, so you are entrenched and have bunker bonus.
Also pay attention to the newspaper to see what other nations are using. Also don't be afraid to reach out to players and build allegiances or non aggression pacts.
Also you can use radars on your borders, if you see someone stack unit near your border its obvious they will attack, most of the time if you message them and say i can see your units on my border, they will retreat because they lost the advantage of surprise.
@@Writeous0ne okay so here is the thing I had a coalition of 5 and they were all actually geographically post soviet areas Poland and hungry Ukraine Germany Lithuania.
And I watched the news bit also actually published creative news ( it's how I got the coalition so early )
But anyway in what universe can you drive 1 X division of tank destroyers with 6 vans of men from Sweden to Moscow while under air attack from Squadrons of SU-24 fencers. ( These planes level entire towns and drop 16 X 500,lb HE lol and 4 x mi8 gunships using rockets .
Also the same player drove a an unarmed cargo ship down the river to the dock of st peters burg directly into our submarines torpedo's. But still docked disembarked and did a lot of damage.
It's stupid.

@@davidherron3136 submarines are weak in coastal water. If you had frigs, destroyers or cruisers in your port it wouldn't have happened. Well if you dont wanna play thats fine but its not the game that you lost its your strategy.

lvl 10+ here, all this is very debatable as you said
i personnaly go for infantry because it's cheap and you can drown your enemy with them especially at the start
you can always supplement it later with other stuff
i never use aircraft carriers, who ever does, i wonder. well, you expected of course :)

So I’m trying to figure how the coalitions work. What would be the best low tech rush strategy? Airborne units seem good near islands.
You mentioned around the 1 hour mark that the drone swarms are pretty deadly. I've found them to be completely useless. They seem to die before they can do anything, in any situation where I would need their damage. Where have you found a use for them?
I only use them for intel and firing cruise missiles
@@jeffcurrent5593 I think you're talking about the UAV, not the season unit. I'm referring to the recently renamed loitering munitions.

Marine don't have downside once more advanced: they can airlift. But they should come later on once more developed.
Will the tureal kill tank Destroyer. it's an armor killer and troops. Or I should ask what kills the tank destroyer.

Only infantry units can take territory. You might have all tanks.

Not at all, the price and speed of recruiting make them arguably the best infantry in the game. You need a strong air force with them though, they're not going to win you battles.

Basically, you've chosen the wrong game.
There are different game options, one is called Battleground USA, where all players choose a US state. Another game is called Flashpoint Europe, where all players choose an European country and another game called WW3, where you can select any country in the world.
There is also a WW3 (4x speed) game that is the same as WW3 but time is sped up x4 (1 hour in real time is 4 hours in game).
Once you progress and your rank increases, other games become available to you to play. I.e. Apocalypse, Rising tides, Overkill and more.

New to the game. What is a stack and how do you create one
Moving 1 unit to where another unit is they then combine into a stack. 1 infantry and 1 infantry moving to same location will eventually become 2 infantry that's the start of a stack.
