Thank you and why aren't more people doing this? I search for tutorials on what parameters are set and everyone just plays the amazing sound but doesn't show how they achieved it.
Dotted 8th should be 3/4 on the timeline not 7/8. You could actually flip the division around, change the time to 8/7 or 3/4 instead so than you can adjust the mix and feedback of the dotted eight on the knobs instead of the screen
thank you so much!!! I've been looking for a dotted eighth delay setting for a while, Strymon just told me to set the tap division to dotted but it still sounded off. I tried your setting and it was perfect for those U2 Edge rhythm delays
Hi, how do you set the parameters for Delay 1 of the Dual delay please? I've got a new Timeline recently and it's really driving me mad how to use it!! Do I need a 2nd delay pedal for Delay 1? Any help appreciated!
I took your settings and changed the delay to an 8th then adjusted the BPM/ MS from 380Ms/ 158 BPM to 79 BPM and it gives you the same feel but you can slow it down from 60 BPM - 79 BPM and still have the same feel just different BPM setting, set with Quarter 1/4 it limits you to that MS/BPM time setting. Check it out
Thank you so much! I will be getting mine in the mail today. I will use it on my acoustic for worship. Hope it works well. Just worried that it will be a pain changing presets live. Any thoughts?
Great setting really helpful I love tc nova delay...but has no depth in the range the Stymon brings out brought all 3.. big sky mobius and timeline my best... Thanks again. John
It's hard to understand in this vid, this was just a patch I created that similar to a dotted 8th, the strymon website has the configuration for dotted 8th
wow so you don't even use the dotted 1/8 tap division but dude you got the sound that a lot of us want to get thanks I have a timeline and always thought you have to use the dotted 1/8 tap division
Thats great man never tried my acoustic on the timeline but ill sure will.. Since i lead worship its pretty difficult switching presets live,(thank god i have another lead singer) but I will recommend the Disaster Area DMC-3, i think its like $150, that enables you to scroll up and down presets way faster and accurately then doing it manually , i struggle manually , hope this helps
what the fucks with the church? and they over spending on gear? most of the time, shits mixed low. no one can hear it. so why bother? oh, must be tax exempt...
@@isaacros123 yeah, it’s worked so well, I’ve neglected it as far a switching out. But now, with Strymon making smaller footprint pedals , I’m seriously looking at the Brig of a sweet deal on a timeline. Just lots going on with 2 partscaster builds.
You use the Dual delay, but the Mix on the main delay is almost off.. why? try that preset with mix turned up, not right.. so what I'm getting at is that there is no point using the dual delay, if you only want one of the repeats to be heard..
Hodnisguitar I have the mix there for my taste for the music I play. you can feel free to move the mix knob any direction you want, as long it fits you, that's all that matters.
don't think you got my point.. the Dual delay has two delays going, when you have the mix where you set it only the second delay is heard.. so why not use a single delay?
Hodnisguitar , I get your point, I have it there as a based mix, I obviously higher both mix when I play a series songs that require it. I rather have one delay lower then the other. I'll rather use the Strymon DIG for a dual delay combination.
I Actually do but you cant see it during the video, I use a Roland EP and its set use it. I"ll make a Vid with the EP later in the future Hope that answers your question thanks.
Dude, finally someone I can understand. You helped figure out the whole timeline 😂
According to Strymon, the ratio for a dotted 8th note on the 2nd delay is 3/4 if you're tapping in quarter notes for the 1st delay.
Week my first impressions with it today. .. The sound is AMAZING no tone suck whatsoever. But it's annoying changing patches live.

THANK YOU! Very cool patch!!!
I also have the timeline and nova repeater. What do you think sounds best?
Thank you Isaac that was very helpful.

id recommend trying out that hi pass if youre going for the u2 rack mount digital delay sound
Awesome, Ill try that out
Do you have quarter note delay settings you can share using the dual mode?
Thanks Isaac , your tutorial helped me get this dotted 8th setting.but Im getting to much Reverb wash out., anyone know how I minimize the Reverb?

TC Flashback or Strymon Timeline?!?
Signvm Studios Strymon Timeline, you cant go wrong and at the same time you can save presets.
The band is Jesus Culture and the song is Awaken Me
nice demo..can you put these settings on the strmon timeline librarian? thanks

Is the first delay already set to 1/4 note? And how do you make the 1/8 note dotted?

I did everything and not sound the same

My Timeline doesn't work like this at all! Or it's defective.
Is that a TC Electronic Nova Repeater? I have one too
Oh yea, nova repeater was awesome device 10 years ago lol. How times change.

really nice video ..Good stuff ...i have never tried 7/8...from which song is the main riff you are playing ?
+Clive Luis Thanks man, I think I'm playing Streets from U2, the lick is usually slower but I have it at a faster BPM
So using this setting you don't have to tap the tempo on it? Do you just leave it like that?
Depends on the tempo of the song, you tap tempo if you'd like
How do i get a good quater note delay

isaac rosas But you never set the toe and I don't see it plugged in. is it hooked up with midi some how?
@@JustinCGreen What I'd like to know is whether he ever set the toe. Been a few years.

I literally followed this exact thing step by step and got something completely different... like not even close to dotted 8th... what the f*
