Both are strong trainers no doubt, I think lance has slight advantage over steven overall if we consider the fact that both dragonite and gyarados are equally strong and terrifying.

I think mega metagross is extremely strong but steven as trainer isn't that good. ,. Mega metagross is otherwise a beast

I think Steven dono condition mai jeet jayega kyonki Steven ke paas bhi metagross ke allava aggron bhi hai jisne ash ke dracovish ko oneshot kar diya tha aur ussi dracovish ne leon ke 2nd strongest Pokemon rillaboom ko haraya tha haan mujhe pata hai ki dracovish ne draganite and serfech'd dono ki help li thi lekin fir bhi rillaboom ko harna bhi ek bohot bada feat hai

Gourgeist have plot armour but i tell u that battle was totally based on Pokemon games
Gourgeist used his signature move first to Gyarados which make Gyarados ghost type and then Gourgeist used Ghost type moves like shadow sneak and hex which were super effective on him and that's why Gourgeist wins , Diantha doesn't have plot armour she has brain and very smart she used great tactics according to me to beat Lance like Reflect ,light screen other than physical attacks which Lance was using ,but ya we know Diantha has full advantage of type fairy over dragon which make her win easy here!!and make her suffer against Leon
