    I love this approach to teaching. Too many coaches make videos to show off their personality. You get straight to technique. It's great boxing instruction and just excellent education in general. People will actually get better from this videos. Thank you for taking the time to make them!

    This guys really is a phenomenal coach, not often you go to a gym anywhere in the UK and find a coach who can deliver this amount of knowledge of the sport, I coach fighters and I'm very impressed with this guys content, not many coaches at all teach all of these techniques.
    1 thing I don't understand is that you're teaching to incorporate an outside slip with the first parry, I feel like that leaves you to exposed if the kid you're fighting had fast hands, ove always thought it better to leave the head in position, then if the opponent throws a feint with a left hook behind it you can quickly turn the parry hand into a check.... what's your thoughts Scott?

      Yeh or sit back. Multiple names for it. Would only use pull counter if your throwing a counter with it too but yeah multiple names 👌🏼

    • @terrelljackson787
      @terrelljackson787 3 года назад

      @@McLeodScott i would say pull counter because you were taunting the opponent to throw a punch. Your fighter was leaning heavy on his frontfoot to get a reaction from the opponent. That's different from leaning back where you lean back but you may not be in position to counter. Many times Ali would just lean back and couldn't counter cause he was out of position and almost off balance.

      @@McLeodScott people who care about integrity and honesty. You're right tho, it's far easier to not look things up and just to be innaccurate and intellectually lazy. But i can imagine if someone copied and pasted your videos and called MacDowell's Boxing channel and surpassed your viewership. You might rightly feel a bit upset if he didnt credit you. You might even contact youtube to get his channel banned. But then again you might not care

      @@terrelljackson787 you have far too much time on your hands and take life to seriously. Have a drink, meet a girl maybe? I’ll stick to training champions out of my gym and operating a successful gym. You can cry about pull counters 😂😂 Jesus! Love you Terrell x
