I never thought I could find someone that would make this song more alluring than Madonna, but Katherine's version is simply sublime. It's also in the original key of F minor, which is beautifully haunting and seductive.
Not an easy song to sing which is probly why until now, no one has tried it. Big props to Katherine for going for it and she sang it very well. Her vibrato in her high voice is not nearly as bad here as I have heard it. Well done bella Katherine!!
I love Katherine Jenkins, I just wish she would release an album with her more mainstream songs on it like this as I'm not into the classical music but love her voice.
I agree with you completely! I think this is one of Katherine's best performances. I'm not sure if the "higher vocal parts" blend (or gel) completely, with the other parts, but she does do an excellent job of remaking this song. I can't imagine anyone else who would try to sing this Madonna song (one of Madonna's best songs, ever)?
Katherine love I did say ,its been sad, I'm beautiful love but I was lost and only just found, I said I want to join in now cause I'm too aware why the words of the song frozen exist love and it wasn't fair love, I was hammered katherine love. Not with beer but idiots katherine evil people exist xxx
I should also add that some people think Sarah Brightman is "opera". Even Sarah, herself, has never claimed she's opera. Technically, she's not; along with a lot of other singers who have "operatic ranges", but are not "opera". From personal experience, I've been labeled as an "opera lover" many times by people, who didn't know, the difference.
I don't think I would mind the higher "ahs" if she stayed up during the :we;d never be.." sections as well... i find it comes across as 'this is the section i can sing up, so i will'
She has a superior voice and sings it better than Madonna all around. However the switches into operatic are too abrupt and discordant imho. Also, I am not a puritan but she sings WAY too nasally. For whoever cannot tell the difference, check around 00:50 - she is singing the "mmm" through the nose than switches to singing normally "we'll never be.." - sounds almost the same.
@@remyfacade Couldn't agree more. She has one of those voices that would be spoilt by turning out cheap factory made pop music, her range needs Opera to showcase her full talent. She is one of the best female singers of all time in my opinion, ranking with Lzzy Hale as Number one, becauae I have never heard anyone who can sing the range she can, live every single night and still bring it and sharing second place with Sarah Brightman.
Ohh my god lol, never heard anyone copy this madonna song. But at least Kat didn't kill this fantastic song. The corus was a bit of a shock, not a good choice. Really sorry to say this but it looks like she it pain! :( Really sorry
I don't know what these ppl are talking about. That was horrible, and I love La Jenkins. This was a good choice, Kat. Some singers, especially classical singers, aren't suited for faster-paced pieces. Sorry Kat, but
Oh, I'm very well aware of the six different types of opera. So, I'm not as "ignorant" as you may think. (I've been around quite a few opera lovers.) And, I agree with you that it is an "acquired taste" (but, it's not everyone's taste), and perhaps I've had one too many opera purists tell me, that "People who don't love opera, don't know their music." --- which is thee MOST ignorant statement of all. For some (including me), it's downright "painful" to the ears to listen to; not pleasant.
Boring...no performance...just standing and warbling away. She needs to look at Shakira's performance at this year's super bowl. Best intelligent and charismatic performer that is current.
That's your "opinion", that there's "something wrong with my ears". I do acknowledge that Cecilia Bartoli is good opera, but just not "my taste". Too "over-the-top" opera. Personally, I prefer "operatic ranges" which opera purists, usually scoff at; like Sarah Brightman, Emma Shapplin, Jade Laura d'Angelis, Chiara Zefferilli, etc. Voices that are NOT so intense (screechy?), but still allow music lovers -- the luxury of hearing the crystalline beauty -- of the feminine voice.
I don't know what these ppl are talking about. This is horrible, and I love La Jenkins. This was not a good choice, Kat. Some voices, especially classical ones, aren't suited for faster-paced pieces. I think you should've rearranged the piece to a slower motion, then perhaps it would've worked. Sorry, but I calls it as I sees it.
I love this song wow what a lovely voice
katherine jenkins is a fantastic singer going to see her live cant wait
You have melted my heart!!! X xxx xxxx
wooow she changes a lot!!! and the change was better!! I love her! :)

Its a beautiful and deeply lyrical song ♥
Sa tessiture est éblouissante comme son anatomie. Une artiste exceptionnelle. Longue vie à Katherine Jenkins
Awesome voice, awesome song, loved frozen first time heard it by Madonna obviously
i Love her her Opera voice but her Pop voice is Brilliant she sings this so well xx

Well done bella Katherine!!
Great job, KJ!!
just amazing!!!!!
Just pure magic
AMAZING! I love the way she changes from the high notes to low notes. Best singer ever.

Check out "Katherine Jenkins Quello Che Faro" (Everything I Do - In Italian)
It's a totally magnificent song, and fits her voice perfectly.
love this 3
This is phenomenal. Her voice sounds astonishing and she looks absolutely divine.
What a tremendous version of a brilliant song!
I love it. Critics go away and analyze your self
Excellent top notes for a Mezzo. Well done Kat! :)
you are bigger than everything...everything the GREAT KATHERINE.....
♥️
She did a credible version of this. Nice one.
ES LA MAS HERMOSAS DE TODAS .
@Brielle90000 I agree with you she is fantastically tallented and Welsh too what more could i need....
Ohhhh !!! I was expecting Disney Froen, not Madonna !!
Very Nice job Kathy !! :)
I agree Kat tends to sing very mechanically. One exception is 'You Are My Miracle' with Vittorio Grigolo.
Beautiful! Face, figure and voice. Beautiful!
Wow, this is a very different Katherine Jenkins than I have heard before. I like her present genre much more.
My Favourite madonna song made so much better
omg pretty woman]
I prefer Katherine's voice singing popular music more than her classical style

wow ,purhaps she should have done the theme for never ending story instead of limahl
Versi katherine jadi berbeda, karena berbeda itu indah...
Anybody here in 2022

Lot of respect to her, but Madonna is Madonna.
She needs a pop voice. The opera material doesn't work for her.
No, it doesn't work for you. Her 6 number 1 albums says it works just fine for everyone else

ich finde das Lied ist nicht anspruchsvoll für ihre immense Stimme.
Boring...no performance...just standing and warbling away. She needs to look at Shakira's performance at this year's super bowl. Best intelligent and charismatic performer that is current.
sorry Katherine j this song is not 4 you babe

Better than that transvestite Madge
disgusting dress-far too short!
Puritan ?
Thank goodness for that, since "real opera" sucks.
Operatic ranges can be nice, but "pure opera" is too obnoxious; too screechy.
Does this girl ever sing her own songs or does she intend to carry on murdering everyone elses???

i love Kathryn's interpretations, but this one is not good. Shes far to much into the mind, rather than soul-Madonna was way better.
