I agree with you about the tower 28. They’re blushes never worked for me and is contours or bronzers. I did not pick them up. I have a brown I did buy the exact color. I love it. I have a similar skin tone to you.
Sandalwood swirls looks like the ideal blush for a tropical vacation. A bunch of that, a glossy orange lip, lots of mascara, an over-the-top sundress and a pina colada…that’s the vibe!
Finally someone said it! I can't STAND the Charlotte Tilbury copywriting. It's honestly unreadable because it feels like someone is screaming at me all the time. It's really unpleasant. I'm a huge fan of the brand and love so many of their products but I really can't handle reading anything on their website or any of their mailing list emails.
The Jones road bronzer is amazing!! I just got the light tan shade and it’s the perfect natural tan shade for me 😊😊😊 the rosy shade looks so incredible and natural on you
Ordered all the Charlotte Tilbury blushes after watching your review and totally agree with everything you said about them as a fair skinned that loves pinks. Love them and happy to keep them all. Can't wait to try the Kulfi! Thank you!
The purple-berry Kulfi blush reminds me of Glasswing by Rituel de Fille, in terms of color. I had always been intimidated by it because it looks so dark, and I'm paler than you, but it has that sheer grape jelly shade like the Kulfi. I always recommend it to cool-toned people!
Thank you for this great video! I so appreciate all of your descriptions and how you share the way products feel on the skin. Cream blush also disappears on my cheeks so I’m excited to try the Kulfi blushes!
I agree with your tower28 comments! Crazy to me how many companies try to pass off bronzer as contour!! Even for my medium skin tone a lot of them are way too orange to be contours, to the point where i cant even use them as bronzers! Not to mention like you said that video demo tower 28 put out, the "traditional" contour looked wayyy better 💀
As a very pale cool toned girl I’m really excited to try the Jones Road bronzer. I’ve never been able to find a bronzer that doesn’t look awful on me because I don’t get tan at all.
I feel you, I don't wear bronzer at all because they look terrible! I'm still debating whether I want to try the Jones Road or just keep the step out of my routine.
LOVE this video idea - cheek products are becoming my fav category! I think the Tower28 blushes are a little too dewy for a bronzer formula so I like that they made that change with this bronzer, but also WISH they had better more neutral shades! We love the Jones Road formula, loving the Light shade - Carli
I have Pink Pop and it looks baby pink on my light-medium skin. So far, I only have one powder blush and now the CT blush. Kulfi is my next purchase 🥰 Love your reviews!
i fully agree with your take on Tower 28's pr strategy and the product itself. i really like all the stuff i have from them, so this launch was just so bizarre to me. i haven't seen the sculptinos irl yet, but they ended up sending Broad to me so i guess i'll see how warm it really is when it gets here. and that video was a mess - she was basically demonstrating how bad of a contour it was while at the same time telling us our eyes weren't seeing what they were seeing. ridiculous. i'm just excited about the new shade of the Saie bronzer. it looks perfectttt for fair skin.
Definitely agree with the tower 28 being a bronzer. Actually just watched Teresa is Dead she referred to it as a bronzer, applied it as a bronzer and then went in with a separate contour. The ‘contour’ element of the Tower 28 is definitely getting lost on people!!
I’ve had the Bobbi Brown bronzer in Antigua in my collection for probably 15 years! (Not the same palette). The dusty rose reminds me so much of it. Now I need to break it out and wear it more. Thanks for the reviews, Kait! I’ve always been a huge lip product person, but cheeks are definitely giving them a run for their money for a few years now!
Ha, love the swatches in the rain🌧 Very real. I bought the Jones Road and love it. For blush, I still adore the Rare beauty liquid blushes and the MAC bouncy blush in Heat Index. Those two seem to last the longest. Thanks you for the great reviews. I am really happy with the products I've bought based on your detailed information.
I would still love to see you review gen see! I still really value peoples insights into the nuances of each product because even if it didn’t work for you, what you describe might be perfect for what someone else is looking for in a product.
Hi Kait!! I wholeheartedly agree on the new Tower28 “contour”, which is too bad but oh well-not short on the contour supply. Love your content!! ❤Molly
I wish I had watched this prior to buying the Tower 28 “contour”. I thought maybe I had bought the wrong product. It shows on my skin as a sickly yellow-almost 3 day bruise yellow. I don’t love returning products but this might go back. Great video and I’m glad you popped up on my home page.
So helpful and thorough, as ever. On screen the Jones Road looks just like the Gucci blush in Rosy Beige-if you have the latter, do you agree? Or anyone else here who has both? Coveting the Jones Road but not if it’s too similar.
I love the jones road bronzer dusty rose, the only other bronzer I love with a similar color is the Kevin Aucoin bronzer in the lightest shade but that is not as rosy as the JR one and there are glitter particles in the KA one as well. Hannah Louise Poston uses the KA bronzer as a blush/bronzer in some of her older videos
physician‘s formula have a blush powder that’s exactly like the Jones road dusty rose, and I’ve used it for years, love it! Also colourpop has one similar too. Beautiful formula as well.
That Tower "contour" looks so warm and yellow! To me it's a real fail because of all the ways they marketed it, and personally, as a very pale cool-toned person I'm very tired of being told colors like this will work for my skin, because no. I haven't gotten it yet but I did go ahead and order the Jones Road bronzer in Dusty Rose because I have been looking for a color like that forever. I haven't had good luck with Jones Road so far, but the way you describe it make me think I will love it.
Another in depth great review!! You have great taste in earrings as well….love every pair that you wear! Would you please list in the description box wear you buy them. Thank you! 😊
Have you tried the NYX sweet cheeks cream blushes? I’m obsessed with the shade “nude tude” which looks very similar to the CT Pillowtalk shade. I’m curious to see how they compare. Both have a matte finish and the same sort of packaging but the NYX is significantly cheaper. Could be a dupe 👀
Has anyone ever compared the Kulfi Mehndi Moment blushes and Glossier Cloud Paints? The packaging seems pretty similar, as well as the idea of a highly pigmented liquid blush.
@@StateofKait Ah ok. I found glossier storm to be pretty pigmented already, so maybe the kulfi blushes would be more pigment than I prefer. Em Cosmetics on the other hand… if only the U.K. shipping was less expensive. I have the lip cushion in Mona Lisa and it’s gorgeous.
Hi! Do you remember what brush you used throughout the video to apply all the blushes? The shape and size look great so I’m curious. And thanks for showing all the products applied. Your reviews + demos remain some of the best. Your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed :)
You have beautiful skin! Have you ever had a color analysis? I have similar cool tone as you but a few shades darker. I want to try the joan road bronzer. I recommend checking out Marriam Styles youtube channel on color analysis. I would guess you are cool and radiant.🥰
Re: T28 sculptino I think they should’ve worded things differently but were probably hesitant to come out with a second bronzer line for fear of confusion. But I honestly don’t care what word is printed on my product - I use them in whatever way works for me (in this case… just use as a bronzer). Similar could be said of BareMinerals Blonzers. Mine just looks like blush and nothing more, but that’s fine. At the end of the day they’re just a color and formula
When I'm doing someone's makeup I don't apply bronzer where I want to create shape, I apply bronzer where the sun would add color to the face. I will say that when someone is very warm there aren't a lot of contour products on the market that give a natural shadow because they tend to be too cool and there are products marketed as bronzer that work better for that because brands have been making bronzers with some cooler tones to them recently. I couldn't say whether the T28 product would be something I'd use on someone who is very fair and very warm without seeing the product in person but from what I can see in this video on you I would say no. It looks like it would look nice as a bronzer on someone who is fair and warm. Which seems to be peoples very understandable issue, they marketed a bronzer as a contour. But something I've noticed that I dont see many people talk about is that a lot of brands are very invested in influencer culture and influencers are very invested in their fake tan and no matter how people want to present it the majority of fake tan results lean toward unnatural hues and I see pretty clearly that some brands create shades for fake tan hues. Maybe thats part of the issue here?
I found with the rare beauty blushes if you use the smallest amount you can get the same blush colors as the Charlotte T blushes. Yes the Charlotte T blushes have twice the product. The rare beauty blushes are more pigmented so you don't need as much product. I feel like you would use them both up in about the same amount of time. It's just a theory that I haven't put to use yet .I feel like the Charlotte T blushes are over rated.
I personally don’t like the rare beauty ones, I find them more difficult to control since they’re so pigmented and I always overdo it. But if we’re talking about affordability then it’s a great option
I will be picking up that Jones Road bronzer for sure! I had the bobbi brown version of this back when Bobbi was still part of that brand. At this point, I literally just buy products and use them in the way that works best for me. I personally will be using the tower 28 as more of a bronzer because I love a neutral/rosy bronzer. They definitely missed the mark on the naming of the product this time around. 🫣
