- Today I’m showing Richard how to plant up a container and it was so much fun doing this project together and to know that he has the confidence to do this himself now.
I will only ever recommend products that I use regularly and believe to be good value.

Thank you Richard 😊 I’ve become a disabled gardener for over 10 years. I appreciate so much my friends that help me with the tough jobs😊 Your trough is beautiful 😊 Hope your finger heals well Annette😊
Thanks, yes, it's healing nicely. Richard is such a big help in the garden - it's lucky that he enjoys it too 😊
Sorry to hear about your finger Annette! The silver lining to your injury is your wonderful husband Richard helping you with all the planting! Way to go Richard! I always love working in the garden with my husband!
Yes, it's much more fun to work together and I feel that we get so much done when we do it as a team, plus the company is nice 😁
So sorry to hear about your poorly finger Annette, hope it heals quickly! I must say Richard did a wonderful job of the planting, with your guidance. I love all the sedums and succulents you have chosen.
Thanks Marilyn. Finger is healing nicely. I'm so excited to watch this planter grow 😊
Hope your finger gets better soon and its great that your other half helped you to plant your trough and patio pots.
Thanks Nicholas. Yes, Richard is super helpful 😁 and I think he enjoyed doing something a little different 😁
Darling Richard is a fast learner!!
Indeed! and so helpful...I was incredibly grateful for his good humoured nature 🥰
What a great team! Richard is a gem. You’ll be so happy you planted the succulents in that lovely trough. And sadly I had an incident this season with my finger and I feel your pain. Get well soon! And thank you both for another wonderful video
He really was very helpful. Hope your finger is feeling better now too! It's such a pain when we hurt our hands - it's so incapacitating 😕
Your dahlias are so beautiful. The trough looks amazing. Great choice of plants.
Thanks so much 😊
Hi Annette and Richard. Sorry for your wound Annette, but Richard is a great right hand man and you both did a great job. The trough looks amazing. Thanks for showing us the planting up. XX
Thanks so much Jimmy. We had fun doing this together and I think Richard enjoyed doing something different and in miniature 😁
Feel better❤
Thanks Jane. I'm definitely on the mend 😁
I hope your finger heals well and quickly.
Thanks Carol 😊
I love sedums and yours are beautiful!!!!
Yes, me too, Doreen. They're so intricate and I just find anything in miniature to be so cute 😊
Lovely container and Richard did a great job with his planting. You'll be missing doing the gardening Annette but I'd milk your injury for a few extra days! Only joking. Hope you'll soon be back on form and doing the things that you love. It's only when we injure ourselves that we realise how much we use that part.
Thanks Wendy. Yes, we had fun doing this together but I've found myself out in the garden yesterday doing some deadheading...I just couldn't wait any longer but it was sore. I've found that my right index finger (the one I injured) is used 100% more than any other finger! 🤣
Your channel has become essential viewing now. I was going to hunt through your videos looking to see if you had anything like this one and you beat me to it! I’ve just acquired an old Belfast sink from our builder friend and want to make it a sedum garden. I love sedums. Where do you buy new small sedums from? Do you have a favourite supplier? I found this so useful, how tightly you pack them, how you can split them up, and the half-and-half tip for the soil mix. I’m excited all over again now.
Thanks Sue, that's such a coincidence and I'm so glad you found it helpful. I found this pack of mixed sedums at a (fairly) local garden centre in Denham. I think it's possible to buy sedums online but I never have. Hope you have lot's of fun with your Belfast sink - all that space to fill!!! 😁
Everything is just beautiful!! Lucky you. You have help. My hobby cuts the grass and i do gardening. What is the name of the dahlia @ 0:31?
Thanks! That dahlia is called Night Silence. - stunning antique-y colouration. 😊
