The wet soup bit is the most Ryan George joke ever. And I mean that in the most complimentary way, he’s my favourite youtuber

@@saiki244 I found the wet soup bit to be actually really smart. I think with this bit, they were simply trying to establish how other customers thought that the waiter was weird. But when the same waiter starts dealing with the Drive-thru guy, he started to look smarter than that guy. So, basically, it means that the waiter was weird, but the guy who came up with the idea of a Drive-thru was weirder. 😅

Fun fact the first drive thru the was on Route 66 in Springfield Missouri it was a burger joint called reds giant hamburg it’s called that cuase when the guy bought the sign it was gonna be hamburger but the word hamburg was only able to fit on there. They have the sign out there in a park but I just found out they reopened it in 2019. So there’s some little history for ya
About the sign it was cuase of utility wires so he dropped the e and r
No matter how long the line is at In & Out, Chick Fil A, or Raising Canes, it still moves at a relatively fast pace. Other places not so much. But drive thru is always top priority.
Where I live, it's faster going through the drive through because most of the staff are focused on those orders. The cashiers are usually doing other things to prepare the food for the drive-throughs. The only reason I still go inside is because I have a severe stutter, and drive-throughs make it worse, especially when they don't realize until an ungodly amount of time that I'm not being a dick, I just have trouble speaking.

A lot places near me, like Dunkin Donuts, are closing their lobbies again. Drive thru only. Really annoying because it's much faster walking. Especially if you use the app to order ahead.
This reminds me of the time I ordered food online for pickup. I walked to the restaurant and found out they were drive thru only. The cashier said they couldn’t give me the food I paid for because I wasn’t in a car so I ordered an Uber to pick me up at the start of the drive thru and drop me off at the end. Amazing use of $15.

There's a place I went to in Barbourville Kentucky called the Oven Mitt and they had a drive-thru for call in orders
Do the In-n-Outs in LA not do the in-line ordering? They do it in other locations. They have people walk the line taking orders, you get through the drive thru in no time at all.
That’s not always true with in and out, the in and out by my place Gives the food to the drive-through first so when you order inside you’re waiting and waiting while the food goes out the drive-through
The first time I've ever used the drive-thru was, when BK wouldn't allow you to go inside the restaurant due to Corona. Using drive-thrus on a regular basis definitely is a level of utter laziness that I haven't succumbed to yet. And I don't plan to either. Get your asses out of the cars, people! Walking doesn't hurt (unless you weigh 400 pounds, then by all means, keep hitting those burgers!).
To be fair Jaby, it’s so comfy sittin in your car, seat warmers, music, smoke a lil tree, no loud people around you…that’s why the drive thru line is so long. Ppl wanna be comfortable, the environment is already screwed
Yep, the drive thru line at Dunkin is about 25-30 minutes. I can get in and out on foot in about 5-10 depending on what I want. If it's just donuts, 2-3 minutes.
We have Sonic in TX and we got In and Out a few yrs ago. Tried it once didn’t get the hype
From India 🇮🇳 here, I have a McDonald's drive through next to my house and I have never seen anyone use it 🤣🤣 I have seen cars and motorcycles parked but never seen anyone use the drive through. I think it's common sense that it would be faster to switch off your vehicle, go into the restaurant and order take out, it saves time and fuel.

In Sweden the taws are really strict about drinking and driving so you jut don't do it. I don't know how to drive tough.. I'm Swedish we don't need cars to get around, we have good public transportation..

I don’t get all the jokes people make about drive-through speaker systems. I’ve never had a problem with any of them. I’m not trying to be a dick who likes to contradict people I seriously have never had any trouble understanding or being understood at a drive-through. And yet there are so many jokes being made about this I expect any drive-through to just be a giant line of people shouting “What?” at a speaker box over and over again but that has literally never happened once.
Probably just a difference of experiences. Given how many people complain about it, it’s safe to assume it’s a problem.
