- In this video i will be showing you haw to tab a few cells together in order to create a solar panel.
Things you will need: Solar cells,solder,tabbing wire,flux pen,soldering iron 40 watt,metal file and Patience

Glad to know not to touch the solar cell with your hands AFTER I just went through them like a deck of cards lol

why do we need a tabbing strip? is it necessary for the conductor to cover the whole width of the cell, can you just solder a flexible wire at the end of the white strip? I tried this and I get 0.5V.
how can we tell what we're buying with solar cells, just take a risk, buy and try?
get a pair of forceps or long nose pliers for holding the tabs while you solder them, also get a soldering mat, the cells wont slide around on you.

I own a box of Weller soldering irons (Grandpa sold Mac-Tools)that require filing and constant cleaning to make them work,
I bought a new Hakko FX888D It's like soldering with gods hand,
An old Weller with a new tip doesn't compare to a new digital unit.
Soldering iron tips have a thin plated coating, once broken the tip must be replaced,
Now i only use the old Wellers for De-soldering parts where there’s a high risk of me damaging a good tip, Never dig a nice tip like a screw driver to remove stubborn parts, a light touch only.
So for soldering solar cells a modern temperature controllable soldering iron makes life much easier.

not easy to make these vids, I bought a go pro and it's worthless, can't focus, I too have a bunch of bad focus video, what camera are we supposed to use?
My works too. I used Inplix handbooks and build it without any problems.
It's simple. Just go to INPLIX page and make it yourself.
