Hank didn’t need to be pulled. He was moving the offense, just needs to clean up the missing the read on zone coverage a few times.
Hank will be fine moving forward. Sadly it may be somewhere like Oregon.

Pat Dye would never have benched a redshirt freshman QB in his first start in the SEC down 7-0, doubt that Tubbs would have either, it was the wrong move and an incomplete start, maybe if you're trailing 21-0 at the end of 3...HF panicked, pure and simple after repeatedly going down with the ship with PT last season and against Cal, indefensible.

@@autk BS. We were live every day in HS football. You're either prone to injury or you're not. You do have to be smart and not take a cheap shot or blow your teammate up in a bad spot, but tackling normally isn't a risk. Oh yeah, the season is already wrecked, so you got nothing to lose.
Solid perspectives here, I think some of the freak plays, tip balls have got to eventually go our way. Like Charlie said the law of averages and numbers can't keep going negative. We're moving the ball, iron out a few mistakes and we win
No changes needed. Ok. Wish Jarquez and Damari would go up to him in practice and say "coach, put your phone down and watch what we can do".
Hank was performing well, but lack of run plays and RB screens resulted in predictable WR routes to be jumped. Hank should have started 2nd half. Damari is more explosive than Jarquez.

Freeze needs to address the defense. Allowing a 57 yard touchdown on 3rd & 19 is unacceptable. Prevent defense is never good. Reminds me of the total failure against Alabama last year.
I just feel that there is still a slim chance we get this thing turned around in time to save the season
I genuinely hope that geriner gets a shot at this as well. Freeze made this mistake last season by not giving Robbie an honest chance last season and the only way to truly find out what you have in Holden is to put him on the field. In my opinion, I’d much rather them play him or even Walker vs marching Thorne out there expecting a different result.
Holden has been lost in every appearance in a real football game going back to 22, practice hero game day zero.
@@autk he got in on short notice and not prepared as the starter. We don’t know what could happen with more preparation and we’ll never find out unless we play him with a fair opportunity. What does AU have to lose?
Robbie spent 6 years in college on multiple teams. He hasn't won a starting spot yet. He's a runner. That's it.
@@georgepotter353 let’s be real now, Robbie didn’t get a fair shot at qb1 for Auburn. That’s is a fact, not just my opinion. I believe he’s better than Thorne and we would 3-1 or 4-0 with him as qb1. Now as far as Holden geriner, those same things that’s happened to Robbie is happening to him as well. You’ll never know what a player can be unless you give them a fair shot with proper preparation.
This is an easy evaluation. Hank is the starter. They both throw INTs but at least Hank can hit the deep ball. PT under throws all vertical routes and turns TDs into possession catches.
When you struggle passing you run twice as much! 🤷🏼♂️
If we go with PT, we need to be a run heavy offense. 4-man rb rotation, until the defense puts 8 guys in the box to stop it. The run to pass ratio needs to be completely lopsided until the qbs can start reading the defenses more properly.
What’s going to happen when Oklahoma puts 7-8 in the box in the beginning? Oklahoma and Coach Venable are going to have a bunch of different looks to take advantage of Payton and Hank’s very average quarterback play.
@buddyskinner1633 If and when Oklahoma stacks the box, we then have one on one match ups on the outsides. I like our odds with KLS and CC vs there db's on 1v1. Regardless, we have to run the ball effectively against this team because if they take that away, it's going to be another long game for AU quarterbacks.
What about more read-option with Thorne. Pull out the old film of Nick Marshall.

I’ve been anti starting Walker White but Brown made some really awful decisions. I would LOVE to know what he saw on that curl route with a dude sitting in the flat. The accuracy on the pass down the middle was also terrible…. I thought accuracy was supposed to be his thing. This team might need to pivot to a heavy run offense…. Let’s get White in there and do some Tebow package type shit.
I think it's obvious that the decision to pull Hank was nothing more than CHF trying to win the game. It wasn't about Payton or Hank, and it wasn't about next year. It was a decision made in the moment to try to win the game they were playing. I'll never be convinced that it was anything else. Second guessing is not productive. WDE!
Freeze is gonna go with Thorne against Oklahoma. He will give us a better chance for running the ball with rpo’s. No turnovers and we win this game. Defense will hold OK to 3 scores max.
Maybe it's time to just play the young guys like Cobb and White.
We should play the players now who give us the chance to win every game. Brown or White probably won't ever be our quarterback next season.
The problem is yeah we can run the ball a lot more 25 times a game to 30. But if you do that we become one dimensional and teams will just lock in on that and force us to pass. So yeah running the ball more sounds great but it’s not going to win us games or salvage the season. There just isn’t a possible solution to this problem on offense, the only one was getting a serviceable QB and we didn’t.

Auburn need something positive to happen to them I don’t know but I think they should make package for Sam Jackson at Qb and maybe put M A on bench for game as tailback clean up some mistakes on defense and if get penalty on hit Qb out of bounds u go to bench

Charley5, I need to see where you are getting your info from regarding Damari Alston. He has had touchdowns and he has had no more fumbles than Hunter, who has 2 years ahead of him. One bad play should not crucify Alston. SMH, what’s your problem with that young man. This is the first year that he has really gotten on the field.

It always happens when you lose, if you fumble, throw Int, or a stupid costly penalty, you will be dogged, bashed until you make a heroic play, then all forgiven if you win! These are kids and if you turn your TV on Sundays you will see grown men getting paid millions making same mistakes! Thats ok though! SMH

I don't see his plan to fix the turnovers. They are happening for a reason. 10 to's in 2 games just doesn't happen by bad luck.

It’s going to take some more time to get the right players in place for Auburn to show results on the field. Our roster was so depleted that Hugh’s having to rebuild it. It’s not an over night or 1-2 year fix!

Tell me when we don't rush 3 lineman. I don't care if Keys hit the guy out of bounds, but if it's close and you're going to do it, light that MF'er up so he doesn't play another snap. Defense is not good, nor is the scheme. Stop masquerading Scott as a corner. And moving the football doesn't score points. Thorne is not a gamer; Hank is. Thorne won't be here next year; Hank will. You figure it out.
Why don’t we ever run any routes where the qb pump fakes to the first route then the wr cuts up field to take advantage of the dbs trying to get so many interceptions
They have. The 1st TD to Cam against A&M was that exact thing and the 1st catch to Cam vs Cal.
