Oh God you f*cking nailed this!!! That part on 2:14 is so wildly fantastic and you played perfectly!!! Everyone can see your passion for this album and for drumming, it's inspiring. Cheers from Brazil, keep doing this awesome job!!!
Thanks a lot ! Listened to it a lot, practiced it a lot, got it slowly at first and gradually got it to the right tempo. Then I practiced it the next couple of days until smooth enough :)
This is why I love watching him!! You get to watch from behind the kit. He does all the homework and we or I learn quicker. I’m a visual person and I’ve found I can learn a part by watching when I can’t figure it out. You ARE the man Dylan!!!!!!
Nice, probably one of the funnest drum solos in existence, been trying to air drum that part for a long time (while driving 😬) haha great cover, basically nailed it! 👌
For sure man that solo is absolutely amazing. I added a section like that in the next Kassogtha album. Can't wait to share it :D thanks for the kind words :D
Just searched porcelian heart and it was a pleaseant surprise to see ww's video as the first suggestion. well deserved man. Your drum covers kind of make it up for Axe (or Opeth in general) not putting up an opeth's drums playthrough video ever in public domain.
8th video in a row, some cofee maybe? should be GREAT, REALLY GREAT see a live of yours mastering a song until you get it, ot nope and just drink come cofee and continue other day, for real
You crushed it, man. That was awesome! How do you go about deconstructing and learning something like an Opeth song? Their drum parts are fantastic but can be so complex (at least to someone like me who's played for a little over a year now lol).
Thank you so much ! First of all I listen to their music a lot. When I start learning a song I analyse everything that is played on drums and take my time to understand it and replicate it. It can be a long process. For that solo part there's the ending that's quite hard. The snare and ride beat. I played the song way slower on youtube to get it and wrote in down. Practiced it very slowly and gradually put the speed up. Again it takes time. Then I practice that everyday until I get it almost every time. I also isolate every part of the song and practice them separately a lot until it gets smooth. I don't try to play the whole song at once immediately. After a while I can put the whole song together and record it in a single take :)
Fucking amazing like always broo!!! maybe do some Through the eyes of the dead- "to take comfort" havent seen a cover lmao Anyways Love your Content Man!
The 2:14 part actually played identical man well done
Thanks a lot ! Love this part !
Lol we all know which part we came for.
hahaha for sure !
You're damn right! 😏
The drum solooooo outta nowhere!! 😛🤘😂😂
Hahah yuup

2:14 how did you figured it out I still can’t believe it.
Hats off man

3:33 my favorite wind up
This was Axenrot's conception. He breached the Opeth chrysalis with this song.
absolutely love this song because of the drums ! Axenrot is really awesome!
This is a magnificent performance. Your thermos drink sipping and then vocalized exclamations in the end top it all up. Well done, my man. Hail Opeth!
hahaha Thank you so much ! I'm glad you appreciated the tea interlude and the screaming at the end !
Another excellent job! Hats off for figuring out the part around the 2:00 mark. Really fantastic drumming, Dylan!
Thank you so much ! That part was tough haha especially the ending of that drum solo part. But it was a lot of fun !
Definitely an amazing cover. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Thanks for listening :D
Fills and licks are very tastefully done. Good job man; aced it and you knew it.
Thank you so much ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Bro.... you nailed it. Whatever you’re doing, don’t stop!
Thank you so much !
Dónde puedo comprar o ver descargar la partitura completa 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
That dual hat sounds so much better in the mix than by itself.
That hi hat sounded awesome but it broke quite quickly unfortunately.
2:14 - 2:34 the most difficult part and he nailed it
Beautiful. Wish you all success.
Thank you so much
Those toms sound so awesome. And your reaction at the end when you knew you'd nailed it was glorious! 😂

everything about this video is perfect.
Great cover, it's a pleasure to watch you laugh and doing all the weird stuff. And my favourite part on 2 minute mark was spot on.

Yes! Thank you!
Awesome part starts at 2:15
I can just imagine the stress waiting for the right beat after more than 1 minute of stop... 🤣
That was the hardest part of the cover haha
Phenomenal cover bro 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks a lot :D

Just insane
Merci frère
top tier🫡 great quality too
Bro, you nailed Axe's part perfectly! What subdivision at 2:14 are you playing?
This was amazing! Do ghost of perdition
Nvm found it !!!!
Niiiiiice !
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
ABSOLUTE LEGEND ........ FUCK YES
Thank you man !
👏👏👏👏
wow man! awesome 👍
2:14 is it a specific subdivision or is it just a new random tempo??
The tempo doesn't changes. there are subdivision changes and sometimes it goes over the bar which gives that confusing feeling.
ok thanks a lot!
haha mec I skipped all the part without drums because I just wanna see you playing ! You are so sick !
haha thanks a lot man ! :D The drumless parts are sick as well in this song !
1:46 I'm not a drummer, but that one seems hard to hit on time.
Not with a click track hahaha there's 4 beats to help me hit it right. :')
@@dylanwhitesockswatson I knew some kind of sorcery was going on.

@@dylanwhitesockswatson that's awesome! Thanks for the in depth reply. You rock, man!
Brilliant.
How long did it take you to work it out?
Thank you so much ! I always take my time for the Opeth covers I couldn't answer you precisely. A couple days I guess.
@@dylanwhitesockswatson Great job, it's one of my favourite bits of drumming. Well done.
👏👏👏👏👏👏😯😯😯😯😯
