I haven't read all the comments but with the Gainsbridge money and the Andretti connection, Michael wanting into NASCAR with all those resources to bring Marco in as a driver? Would Spire be short sighted not to entertain that possibility? Just one more Silly to add to the mix. I know something like this has been floated previously.
Not that surprising when you look at recent clues. Spire announced that Rodney would be Crew Chief for the #t car (no mention of LaJoie) and LaJoie himself wasn't present at any of the photo ops etc of Rodney's signing. I didn't even see LaJoie make any reference at all to working with Rodney next year in the days following the announcement. This is great news, as I would hate to see Rodney settle for a driver who shouldn't be in the Cup series. Very excited to see who fills that seat!
I like Lajoie I think he deserves a cup ride over a couple others that are still in the garage but he really hasn’t helped his case the last few weeks. the only question I have which I haven’t heard anyone ask is-did Rodney Childers know they were shitcanning Lajoie when he signed on? If so who does he want in that seat?

Spire has finally opened their eyes and realized that LaJoke's excuses and lack of numbers isn't cutting it anymore. I don't hate LaJoke it's just that he has done ZERO in that #7 car for a long time. Spire has a vision for their future and LaJoke isn't in it, sadly. I hope he gets a ride in the Truck or Xfinity series.

Rumor is that Spire is looking to put an open wheel driver in the 7 car which I think is a mistake. Dave Moody said that Spire let Corey go for performance so why would you hire an open wheel driver that would take 2-3 years to be competitive.
Maybe a F1 driver nascar is trying to make that way maybe will see less fans in the stand make those woke sponsors happy

If Trackhouse gets the charter, then I feel like it might be Suarez in the 7, w/ SVG and Zane Smith going to Trackhouse. SVG in the new 97(the former 99 team) and Smith to the 99 (the new team).
Sorry but I don't see Rujah moving up anytime soon. He is fifth in points and getting a win in the early part of the year. Driving one of Kyle Busch's old Trucks. There has only been 5 normal season winners and Rujah is currently in the same top 5 and 10's as most of the top 10 drivers right now. He has not really been leading laps. He is a 5 to 10 place truck in a Tier 1 or 2 team. If he had a win count of 3 or 4 wins, maybe his name could be mentioned. He needs to race a second year in Trucks then 2 in Infinity. If he breaks out and wins like Kyle Busch past drivers like Bell, Byron, or Bubba move him up a level. He also needs funding. I don't see Hendrick sponsoring him for the complete season next year.

Waltrip didn't last long with Bahari after cowardly assaulting Lake Speed at Michigan. He was gone at the end of season. Why the Wood bros wanted him I'll never know.
If they keep Zane at Spire, I think pairing him with Childers is the right move. We already know what McDowell is and Rodney would really help Zane move forward. There was too much evidence in the #38 truck that that kid is talented. I still think he could be a franchise guy and have a great career. Being a rookie on an expanding team is not great for anyone.

Best decision ever for Spire to get rid of a NO talent wreckfest driver & it will save a lot of work for the crew members repairing his wrecked cars next year! Spire needs to put Kyle Busch in the Spire #7 with Rodney Childers as the crew chief after a buyout of RCR 8's 2025 contract, Spire has a connection with Kyle since they did buy the KBM truck team & shop. The Spire team is in the old KBM race shop now, Kyle would feel right at home in his old shop. That frees up the RCR 8 for Austin Hill to move up to cup next year since that was the original goal of RCR signing Austin Hill to a long term contract. Corey can go build seats with his Dad or maybe he can find a truck or Xfinity team. Don't see any openings in Cup for his talent level unless he can bring some sponsorship for a financially struggling team!

There's only a year left on Kyles contract & I'm sure Kyle will attract other sponsors & it could even become a Toyota team next year too since Toyota wanted to keep Kyle in the fold. We already know Kyle wants to leave RCR, something has happened at Spire to give Corey the ax & it was related to the Kyle incident of being wrecked by Corey! @@Ojibs RCR is a key partner with GM and they get as much manufacturer support as Hendrick or Trackhouse. Spire is not a GM key partner.
