This is why we all love vanilla. This game has such a depth, so much potential, even after 15 years you still find out stuff. Either in pve (see latest Progress Naxx speedrun) or in pvp, you think you‘ve seen everything and then Perp comes around the corner. Shows how much love and work old Blizzard put into the game. Imagine showing this to people in 2007. Great content, love your videos.

The first time I watched a perp video before Classic I could hardly tell what was going on or if it was even that good. Now, after playing for a year, I can watch this having gained the minimal level of knowledge required to appreciate how god damn beautiful the gameplay is. Calling it gameplay doesn't really do it justice though, it's art: the art of a madman, but art nonetheless.

Perplexity in his strongest form. 'proud of you my man. You and your videos continue to serve as an example of how much extraordinary skill is possible in vanilla, even on this botched client and community. It kinda makes me want to try and reach farther. I liked the Rup whispers, 'didn't know he still played, and he's right, it was 10x better on pservers. The ending scene fell just short, but the nostalgia and grandfather status more than made up for it, Nyht is an OG. Much love to Nyht. I miss vanilla, I miss pserver vanilla and the Old Guard bad.

Should consider making a commentary version of this where you explain your favorite moments a bit more in detail and maybe your thought process and stuff, played WoW for years but was never deep enough into pvp to fully follow what's going on even with annotations. I remember Reckful doing a commentary over his big movie and thought it was pretty cool to watch. Either way really enjoyed this :]

You know, after watching this Perplexity fella's clips sporadically over many years, and watching pretty much every clip he has published the last few months, and finally watching this montage, and even though it might be VERY controversial and unexpected, I think I can say, without hesitation or compunction, that this guy is pretty gul-danged good at playing a rogue.

By the end of WOTLK, was like 2010? I had climbed the arena multiple times to top 1- 3 on various small, medium, and very large private servers including AT which was considered the high skilled server back in the day (I might be wrong by a couple of years, but whatever) I thought I knew something about rogues and have some experience and I see and understand what's going and what Perplexity does and this is an absolute treat to watch. After so many years of no pleasant content from wow (not including 5 previous Perplexity movies), it's like a breath of fresh air even tho it's not some fancy new ass patch with a lot of cool effects and shit. Also saw some1 said that they had to watch it in slow-mo to understand, haha, man even for experienced rogue I had to rewatch some moments multiple times, not to understand but to enjoy, so fucking cleeeeean. Amazing.

Not sure there are many people on the planet that can watch this and instinctively understand what's going on at all levels of detail (I reckon like 5). So insanely technical. Would be nice if Alex took some of his pvp videos and did like a deep 3 hour dive on each one explaining each clip and what's going on, niche AF but I sure would watch it.

I meant to comment on release but got sidetracked. When people enter the movie making scene, I think it can be compared to carrying a torch. I think most video makers, myself included, simply take it and run a relay. Running the course in our own style, with our own flavour. When I watch your movies, even back from the AT insane rogue duel movies, it's like you've grabbed the torch and instead paved your own path into the unknown. Braving a new frontier. Making a new style and producing content that we don't really get to see anywhere but on your channel, and redefining things we all thought we knew inside out.
You started with taking WOTLK RvR and turning it to 11, but now I think in a true display of mastery, redefining the Random BG film. I think one of the hidden truths with PvP movies that you don't hear much about, is how playing fancy sacrifices your odds for victory. Talking with Ayunix about his never released project, or hearing stories about Kamiky for example, no flame ofc, just the struggles of playing fancy & for clips. Anyway, your showcase, in my opinion, goes above and beyond that. Playing for clips without risking the victory. Making flashy plays in the middle of a team fight to clutch the win. I think this is a truly wonderful style of video that displays an even higher level of mastery than the most insane read in arena. There's no script, everything's changing in real time. Everything could go wrong. Just wonderful. Much different from your traditional 1vsX killing spree, and instead a fusion of highlight reel, teamplay, and tactics. Branching out and showcasing that there's skill and mastery to be displayed in any medium. And not just in the arena, or under a duel flag.
I think, at the end of the day, movies are for entertainment, not to display skill. But I'd challenge any rogue, modern or from the past to pull off what you do here. It's a thing of beauty Perp. I'm always in awe of your work. Thanks for continuing to push the envelope even further. Hope the pressure to continue innovating isn't too rough. Amazing stuff man.
