You know whenever God Butcher gets voiced now he has to sound like this one. i read the dialouge with that voice (in my head ofc xD) great voice actors make you appreciate the "incarnation" of characters. really just awesome!!

The Very concept of "hold on, I may need to stand back" bomb. The "what if God made a rock so heavy that even he couldn't move it" but it's a fucking BOMB 💣

Real talk now, though:
Is it just me, or is the whole 'Shadrakk, God of BOMBS' just super silly and on the friggin' nose, and generally a stain in the writing of this otherwise pretty great story? Are we to assume there are gods for EVERYTHING? I mean, I get the idea of gods being the personifications of concepts, but how far can you take it before it just sound kinda dumb writing-wise? God of spinners? God of handjobs? God of handkerchiefs? Like, it's oddly specific and kind of too close to home, and it ruins the suspension of disbelief.
And it makes it look like Gorr captured the one god who had the specific know-how he needed, then tortured him into madness/reverence/helping him.
They could have very easily just went 'Shadrakk, God of Destruction' or better yet Annihilation, or Extinction:
A. Any of these would sound INFINITELY more impressive and intimidating than 'bombs' (though bombs are a scary thing, yes).
B. It would hype up Gorr even more. By this point in the story we are seeing him peak in his development, transitioning from a rival/elusive big-balled assassin with and agenda into a mastermind/Big, Bad, and kind of getting used to him. So, it would be a hell of a reminder as to how much of a friggin beast he is. 'Hey, this guy captured a GOD OF EXTINCTION, cut off his EYELIDS, and through physical and mental torture turned him into a bumbling idiot AND got the secret to exterminating all of divinity from him!'.
Instead here it's 'Yeah, he caught a God of bombs and the guy taught him how to make A BIG BOMB!'
C. I really question why they went for such a low hanging fruit. Like, they are revealing this to build tension, but they are revealing it to the audience, anyway - it's not like the Thors know yet. So they could have gone for the audience reveal in any number of ways. They could have gone 'God of Annihilation', with the bomb looming ominously in the background. We know it's the big bad thing that Gorr is building already anyway, so it would not have really mattered exactly what it is. They could have called it anything, it still would have been 'the big annihilation device, which annihilates'. They could have had Gorr go 'The Godbomb is nearly complete' TO HIMSELF and it still would have been a better reveal.
Sadly, the VO, ironically, makes it worse, because it's so good. Great job building the tension, pacing it out perfectly, aaaand... God of bombs...

But again, a fault in the script, not in the VO, in my opinion.

It's not exactly new for gods with such specific and abnormal titles For example
Carnea - Roman goddess of door handles
Consus - Roman god of grain storage
Momo - Greek goddess of irony
Cyamites - Greek god of beans
And much more, "God of Bombs" is extraordinary compared to these

Hi, I've just recently seen your work on RUclips and thought your did a really good job on the actors choice and how well it was all put together. I was especially impressed by the Neil Gaiman adaption. There are still not too many well executed audio comics around these days. I've aquired a couple of Crying Freeman mangas as I am a fan of that franchise, and thought you could do something with it. You can actually find this edition of the manga on the internet: mangahub.io/chapter/crying-freeman/chapter-3. My suggestion would be that I scan all the pages of my paper edition, as that results in a much better color contrast and an image format that can be edited without losing overall quality. From what I can see the whole chapter is about 440 pages, but the content is also a lot of passages without spoken words. It involves a lot of graphic detail, let's put it like that. RUclips could have problems with some of this. I've already scanned half og the material, so you can see what the pages look like.
I have also a couple of ideas on how you could present the setting and would be really glad to support you and this channel with input, as a listener / viewer as well as a creator.
