Hi Akane sensei! I’ve been watching your videos for a while, and my Japanese isn’t good at all so I’m sorry I’m writing this completely in English but, I wanted to thank you for this video. Like all your other casual Japanese talking videos, it’s educational to know how to naturally express these kinds of feelings in Japanese, that’s something I’m not exposed to at all whenI study Japanese. But also, the topic you were talking about is exactly what I’ve been struggling with these last few months, I haven’t been able to study japanese at all and with the JLPT around the corner I feel less motivated than ever. I tried to study both for university and Japanese a lot this semester and are now feeling very burnt out 😅 I’m glad I’m not alone with these feelings, even if this was recorded months ago. Thank you!
先生の動画はいつもありがとうございます。6月に千葉県にある会社を面接の合格して、今 COE とビザを待っています。目標は2025年の2月ぐらい順調に 来日できますよう願って、3月に運転免許を取得して、7月にN1を受けて、8月に娘を日本へ連れて行きたいです。機会があれば あかね先生に一度会えばよかったなと思います。いつも目標のことを考え頑張っています。From Vietnam with love ❤
Sometimes, one just has to take a step back and go do something else. Then, come back to the first thing with a clearer head and renewed motivation. It's called going with the flow.✨
I studied at a Japanese language school for two years, but it wasn’t an easy journey for me. I have dyslexia and ADHD, which made learning even more challenging. On top of that, I missed about three months of school due to various circumstances-COVID, my sister’s wedding, and a month-long delay when switching classes. My classmates were often loud and distracted, and since many of my friends didn’t speak Japanese, we rarely had opportunities to practice with native speakers. We mostly hung out with other foreigners. I also lost motivation after catching COVID in Korea, which caused me to miss another month of school. I was going out partying almost every weekend and couldn’t focus on my studies. Even though I managed to pass the N4 exam and was starting N3, we skipped a lot of grammar and vocabulary in class. Now that I’m back in Canada, I’ve decided to start fresh. I’m reviewing everything from the beginning, focusing on vocabulary we didn’t learn and grammar I struggled with. I don’t have a job right now, so I can fully dedicate myself to studying. My goal is to go through N3 and N2, while revisiting all the kanji I’ve learned (while i am in japan ) It might take me longer than other foreigners to master Japanese and kanji because of my dyslexia, but I’m determined. I want to be able to communicate confidently in Japanese with my boyfriend and adapt well to life in Japan since I plan to move there permanently. Thank you for your videos-they make me feel less alone in my journey and give me the motivation to keep going, even with all the setbacks I’ve faced.
A “BRILLIANT” video as usual, Akane and you are looking beautiful as usual today! I think I have “MOETSUKI SHOUKOUGUN” (Burnout Syndrome) as I lack the motivation to achieve some of my goals. Akane, you are a “true inspiration” to millions of Japanese people and foreigners around the world! You have thousands of subscribers on RUclips and Instagram and have successfully written your own book! Also, you spoke extremely well as usual in today’s video! Good luck, all the best for the future and god bless!!

The environment is very important, I agree.
But we can't do much about it sometimes.
I like the sound effects when you're scarfing.
