U should use magisk 23.0 stable not higher

How am I supposed to boot to recovery, if I'm not even ROOTED yet? This video is supposed to show how to ROOT with Magisk. But if I'm already rooted (With Recovery) then I don't need this. I'm confused??? I'm trying to get a phone ROOTED and I've had no luck with ANY rooting tools yet. So how do I root with this???????
If you have a custom recovery installed and no magisk installed.. then download magisk or zygisk and flash through recovery...

@@ayontech I ended up just punting TWRP from my desktop to my phone via ADB. Then I booted into TWRP. Once booted there is an option now to flash TWRP right there. Handy.
