    Hey Baba, We were wondering if you could speak on the relationship between Ifa and Palo and the taboos that may arise moving from palo to Ocha and Ifa. We appreciate the expansion and the expression of information with in these beautiful traditions

      They are 2 completely different religions. Before Cuba they didn’t interact much. If anything the tribes were rivals. As far as taboos technically there are none. In Cuba it became taboo to become a Tata or Yaya after becoming an Olorisha or Babalawo due to the process of the initiations. Although some of the first people initiated into Mayombe in Cuba were already Olorisha and Awo’s. I know some people who have walked that path and are doing great and some who are not. Always best to consult your elders. Hope this helps! Thanks again for watching, Blessings!

    Iboru iboya Baba, can you expand on why our ancestors pay/payed homage (Moyuba) to their relatives (living/dead) as it relates to the slave trade? How it preserved Ifa traditions and at the same time,out of necessity, gave birth to OSHA/Ocha/Santeria Voodoo Etc...?

    Aboru Aboye Alafiaa ni Ekaro O
    Awon Babalawo in which odu I could find the ijuba in the afro-cuban?

    • @JosephBabaIfa
      @JosephBabaIfa  3 года назад

      As in the traditional practice, the creole system mentions it in various odu. One of the most prominent being Irete Osa, commonly known as Irete Ansa or Irete Temusa.
