Jose, the old retired people earned their right to sit in their garage. When I was growing up in Ohio people were always sitting out on their porches and 2 ft high walls gabbing with the neighbors, drinking coffee, smoking cigarettes while their kids were out playing. That was how it should be now. Talking to your neighbors, keeping an eye out on their neighborhoods. There is nothing wrong with them sitting in their garage. I really like what you do but this one was kind of a put down on older people. I am one of those. I am 65. Retired. Sit on my porch or garage. Have a wonderful day young man ❤

I just moved from North Port. They're recovering from Ian, still. There's a small, probably 6 block area with older, unkept homes. Other than that, North Port is a very nice smaller city, A rated schools, low crime and average home price of $390-400k. We moved to Parrish bc of my husband's job. Also, the campers are being lived in because they lost everything in Ian. You're coming off like a Karen talking about street parking and elderly sitting outside. 😂
Years ago Northport used to have many snow birds. They would put up their hurricane shutters when they leave town. So their shutters would be up for 5 or 6 month at a time.
Damn, my family had a camper just like the one at 4 minutes into the video back in the 80's when we used to visit Fort Wilderness at Disney World. I actually had a little nostalgia seeing that.
What aggravates the heck out of me is uninformed residents who reelect the same crooks who don't represent them well and we are paying through the nose because of it.
Tell me you know nothing about North Port without telling me you know nothing about North Port. People are living in their campers becasue of Hurricane Ian. Our city was completely devastated by that storm. We had HORRIBLE flooding, which is why new houses are built up to those elevations. Also, the city vehicles are looking for vehicles parked in the right of way, because a new city ordinance has made that against the law. ALSO, people don't call the "county" about issues, they call the city. You complain about neglected properties, then you complain about a dumpster when someone is cleaning up a property... ALSO, the Warm Mineral Springs motel looks like that because it is a registered historical building...
North Port used to look like a lower middle class neighborhood but it was clean and organized I saw many Russian and eastern European residents there and yes some people have businesses in their homes Lots of smaller but nice houses. I could have bought a 2br 900 sq ft house for $95,000 back in 2010. I am guessing those trailers could be for relatives to live in from the north OR they are being used to rent out (so they can pay the mortgage) Today it looks much worse than 10 years ago with prices 3x what they were back then. Definately looks like a potential ghetto Reminds me of N Fort Myers back in the day
Now that things have changed so much. Dealing with squatters, including migrants breaking in, and staying in the property. Even living in your RV just to save money on utilities, etc. will attract squatters, especially in these dangerous and risky times. Had I the means, I wouldn't live there. I wouldn't want to have a huge sign that says, Welcome! Nah!
Caveat Emptor is Latin for buyer beware. Jose, there never was some innocent age. Buyers of goods and services have been advised to do their homework for thousands of years.
This is not just North Port, it is all of America as we shipped our jobs, the paid good in the 70s and 80s to China and now there is no industry where people can find work but the few are making a lot of money even though the whole country is now the largest debtor country that has ever existed in all of human history.
that’s usually the case in most cities that are becoming gentrified. old neighborhoods from decades ago get demolished and built up by new developments. the landscape will change with time, especially when prices push out the locals
They live in a camper. Is that a big deal? Everybody needs a place to live. I live in a nice house that is only 3 years old. I bought a truck and am building a camper on it. When the camper is finished I am going to move into it and travel. I can afford to live in the place I am living , but I prefer to live in a camper. I am 69 years old. You talk a lot of trash about a lot of people. Like the time you did a video on Moon Lake. You dissed those people bad. I have a few biker friends that live in there. Actually their clubhouse is in Moon Lake. It isn't good to talk trash about the people in there. That could get you hurt. In most of your videos you talk a lot of trash about people. You are no better than anybody else. Wish you would stop cutting so many people down.
Most people that live in North Pprt are people from up north. I lived in North Port when the only grocery store was Winn-Dixie, to many people now is what is causing problems there now.
People probably seem nosy because there's all manner of sketchy things going on in their neighborhood. There's probably nobody protecting the neighborhood beside the actual homeowners. They might also be watching for new campers to show up. And do what they have to do to thwart them from setting up camp?
I’m really glad you reported on Northport. I live in Punta Gorda. You are 100% right about the state of neighborhoods and homes going down-hill. for instance, I live in Deep Creek. The yards were once immaculate, like PGI. But now, majority of them are nothing but weeds or sand. People just stopped caring after the hurricane. Idk if it’s bc of financial difficulties, renters, people just giving up bc Florida landscaping is a whole different ballgame to keep up, or what. But it’s sad. Eberyone is struggling and no one seems to care…
As an old, retiree living the good life in paradise I hear what you're saying about nosey people! What a pain they can be but it isn't us retirees who are the problem, it's the nosey people. Also a problem are those people parking wherever and leaving debris all over the place, they hurt surrounding property values. Unfortunately people who dislike rules, want freedom from HOAs and neighborhood cleanliness buy in places where they can get more property to live the way they want to live. I live in a well manicured community because I thought about my retirement. I kept my parents from buying into a "retirement community" because it was under construction and would be...for the next five years! They hadn't bothered to think about what their view would be like after they were done (there would be none) and the constant dust & debris isn't a retirement life! I agree live & let live but don't blame us retirees as a bunch, think about your phrasing for your fans.
Absolutely correct blaming retired people is crazy 65% of the economic impact comes from us retired people. He needs to mind his own instead of looking for likes & followers obviously he can't make a living with youtube
Go to North Fort Myers near the sw Florida eagle cam. Homeless making whole neighborhoods out of tarps, right now! Drive around, I own, nightmare situation.
The city doesn't want to fix the buildings as they want to sell to developers who want to build condos and a resort right there . I know I use to work there. When Ian was coming they sent nothing for us to protect the property at all & did no prep . The writing was on the wall they didn't want to save it.
Hello Jose, the North Port presentation confirms my views after going through the area several times over the past few years. I have seen area's in NP which were very nice and then just a short distance it gets pretty rough. Folks hanging out in garages and staring at folks going by is quite unsettling, there is a differance between just sitting outside versus checking out each pass by. Our plan was to move to SW Fl early 2019, primarilly in Sarasota or LWR area. Unfortunately the pandemic changed everything. Now we just visit and stay at Sun Resorts off Fruitvile Rd. Take Care and God Bless and you know what to watch out for.
I agree with your statement about the dangers of crooked professionals. I once had doctors tell me I needed my gallbladder removed. That was several years ago when I went in because of an unrelated infection and I've had no problems since. Then, there was the time when a dentist in Coral Gables told me all my teeth were bad and should be replaced with implants (that would have cost me $20,000+ back in 2004). He tried that scam because I paid cash for a root canal & porcelain crown. It's been twenty years now...and I still have all of my teeth and they are in good condition.
I know you said you don’t like North Sarasota but you gotta drive through Beveraly Terrace neighborhood. It’s a mixture of working people and homeless squatters! It’s getting worse
It’s filled with chickens and homeless on bikes but also a mixture of old Floridians and Latinos. You gotta drive through. It’s a smaller neighborhood. It could be a smaller video but it really gives you a look in. It’s 20 minutes from the beach.
There are also small businesses. Like people selling tacos and cakes. Also homeless people scrapping. And you can’t forget about the Trumpers. It’s a sight to see. You gotta come through.
It's cheap to live there because it's swamp land. As for the renting out of RV's on your property, I'm seeing it in the Tampa Bay area now. I even see homes with over 8 cars parked in front. People are starting to live together. Also, people are charging others to store their boats and campers in their yard to make extra money.
We never had air conditioning at all when I lived in East Fort Myers, let alone central. Many people didn't have AC back then. We did have fans and we left the widows open.
I live in North Port - the people living in their campers are victims of Ian and the insurance companies who left us high and dry . Your completely wrong on this one.
Good grief some of those houses still have tarps on the roofs! The hurricane went through a long time ago. What in the world is going on with the roofing situation down there. One would imagine that everybody would’ve had the roof fixed by now.
The times are pushing many to live in RV’s in driveways. You can also drive in the “roads to nowhere” off of Wilshire and find many tents on empty lots in the trees. Good eye btw! I thought I was the only one noticing the tiny things going on that isn’t being spoken much about

Having an antibiotic sulfa allergy doesn’t necessarily equal a sulfite allergy. The eastern europeans that visit the springs swear by its healing affects.
Moral of the story: If you want freedom to do what you want to do on your own property...don't live in a city, town, or near anyone else. Otherwise, inevitably, you're gonna do something they don't like and will have an issue.
1. Nosy old people😂 will address those trailer situations and more. 2. That is why buying a lot amongst a bunch of other lots is risky when not everyone is gonna build right away
Right now the State of Florida has categorized homelessness as being a crime punishable with the rest. All the people that are homeless do not fit in the same category. We do not know what in the world has happened in their life to end up homeless. Your videos are causing pain on to people that are innocent of whatever others have done. Bien hecho por causar dolor agente inocente 👍🏼
Depends on the state and county but in Florida it’s not legal in a lot of the counties there. You have to look at the zoning in the area you’re trying to live and county ordinances to see for sure. Places in Taylor and Perry in the big bend region let you put an rv on your land and live in it. Also when it comes to disasters like hurricanes. It’s legal because you get permission to do it since some lose their houses. There’s a lot that goes in to it though
Before you put your content out I think you need to check for facts!!!! There was a very famous builder that built that hotel blue on the roofs yeah you're right the hurricane had nothing to do with it those people that you are referring to they own their homes and had no insurance they also live 6 months out of the year in certain parts of Northport again just check your facts! 🙏💯❤️😉🌞😎
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS that's good. You didn't have to worry about changes much. It's stressful when you have people that immigrated here close. You get in all kinds of fights back and forth. That's just one thing I have to deal with. There are so many I want to be an immigrant to another country myself.
Don't be a Karen.. who cares if they park on the grass, they pay their taxes! I go out and sit in my camper all the time.. wow.. I would worry more about the shooting that goes on! From port Charlotte to Northport! You are out of line. Why is someone else's property your problem? Ugh. Keep your nose in your own yard.. if you own one! Gosh it's america. Let people live.
I used to live in North Port. The homeless come out of the woods and attack people regularly. Some get dragged into the woods and are never found. We would always stay away from the tree line but we could hear twigs cracking and stuff from the homeless people watching us and following us. Some of them only come out every 23 years and will eat for 23 days. If you're smart you will be relatively safe but there are stories all the time about them. People sit in their garages and driveways day and night without sleep just to try and ward them off. Some offer up a camper in exchange for protection. It's $20 to get into the fountain of youth because when it was free the homeless would crowd it like crazy. One of them named Jason drowned there and some say they see him walking around with a machete. When the hurricane came through it actually released a wild candyman into the town which is yet another reason not to move there.
God forbid people park on the grass or live in campers 🙄 really trying to make north port look super crazy but this is what you’re complaining about? Bruh calm down. You’re going through neighborhoods without an HOA. What do you expect? “The problem is they haven’t mowed the grass”? It’s the pinnacle of something super bad? Dude what? Have you been anywhere with actual crime lmao 🤣 talking about hurricane shutters still being up? Have you heard of snow birds lmao what a clown
One has to ask where do you get your information from? I could only stand to watch 10 min of this crap and had to turn it off.. You are wrong in soooo many ways.. You should put a disclaimer on your vids quoting this is all your opinion and fact less! #1 Lots of RV's next to house was very common after Hurricane Ian. Folks living in them as thats all they got not due to homelessness as you guess but do that their house is still a hot mess from the storm. They may still be waiting for insurance/contractor or whatever reasons they have. Coming up on 2 years and lots of folks are still displaced! You even show a house with a blue roof on your vid.. Do you think they like the color blue for a roof.. ? #2 Warm Mineral Springs area is in "un-incorporated" sarasota county..NOT NORTH PORT. You show many things and not so nice house's and yes there are some in that area but again that is not NORTH PORT. The City does a great job of keeping tabs on property owners for trash and such. There is even an app to "Report" things so as you say the "OLD People" don't have to call the county.. and there again your wrong as in the city... the county does not respond its the city.. So folks if your reading this .. this guys is sooo wrong he thinks he's right.. I've typed enough as I don't want this persons algorithm to show any positive numbers!!!
"there heads follow your car they are really nosey" Yet here you are recording peoples property and talking about them, Maybe you are the one who is nosey? I think any normal human would look at you to see who you are since you drive slowly Window down and a phone out recording...
Throughout the 60s and 70s, North Port was primarily a retirement community for lower income 'snow birds' who appreciated affordable homes and the proximity to Warm Mineral Springs. Throughout the 80s and 90s, local Florida people leaving the conjested coastline sought out 5-20 acre tracks of land in the more rural areas near interstate 75. In the more recent decades, the older neighborhoods near the spring have transitioned to homes for the working class, with a large influx of Hispanics. Most of the local Florida people have left and migrated further inland or to northern Florida. Many have left the state entirely for such southern states like Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Alabama. Florida has historically been a destination for people from the Northeast and the rejects from such states as New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts. 'Yankee carpetbaggers' or slick, talking dishonest dirtbags who prey on the elderly and the easily influenced. These days, the area is comprised of people from all around the world. With homes and property values in Florida that are out of sight for many blue-collar workers, North Port is more affordable than the surrounding communities. At the end of the line and split between Charlotte and Sarasota counties, code enforcement is more lax or less likely to be enforced. Your unemployed, drug addicted neighbors overgrown lawn may not be a high priority to them. 😏
If you are so concerned about peoples lawns, why don't you just go and cut it for them. They might not hzve a mower or their health is bsd. You don't know their situation.
Or they just don't care. In some perspectives cutting the lawn is destructive or too much work or not worth it or not having time. Can't stand people talk bout other people's lawns that's there lawn. Jose's cool tho n that's his job
You couldn't afford $20.00 to go into the spring , but you could afford $80.00 to feed your face. You aren't broke. If you were you wouldn't have the money for gas to drive around snd $80.00 to stuff your face.

With all of those people in that fountain of youth, it makes you wonder what else is in that water? I aint gettin in that water.
A beautiful hotel !!!! 1950’s with those paraguas de concrete
Central AC is not a must if *mini splits* are installed :) but window units are ghetto
To pay for an HOA or living in a “free for all?”
NP is very over valued atm
OVER VALUED? its cheaper than anything else around here
HouseLess isn't always that person fault
Duke Energy came through my area trimming trees. They contract the trimmers. None of them could speak english.
My grandma is to leave there
It's safe to live but it depends on what side of North Port your on lol I have been here since 1990 a lot of stuff has changed and the first house you showed. They don't live in their RV lol I do his ac lol
Air Bnb's are causing a lot of problems in many of these S Florida middle class neighborhoods also.
There is no problem running a business from your house. Entire video is describing every city that exist lol
1. Nosy old people😂 will address those trailer situations and more.
2. That is why buying a lot amongst a bunch of other lots is risky when not everyone is gonna build right away
where is yr red camry...?
Traded it. Too small
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS ok…
The hurricane messed us up- we had to move back to ny 😢
Right now the State of Florida has categorized homelessness as being a crime punishable with the rest. All the people that are homeless do not fit in the same category. We do not know what in the world has happened in their life to end up homeless. Your videos are causing pain on to people that are innocent of whatever others have done. Bien hecho por causar dolor agente inocente 👍🏼
Mr Karen you are messing up people's lives.. Chibato cállate.
We do actually kind of. 90+ percent drugs and bad choices. Yes some arnt
Is it legal to live in an RV on the yard or driveway?
Depends on the state and county but in Florida it’s not legal in a lot of the counties there. You have to look at the zoning in the area you’re trying to live and county ordinances to see for sure. Places in Taylor and Perry in the big bend region let you put an rv on your land and live in it.
Also when it comes to disasters like hurricanes. It’s legal because you get permission to do it since some lose their houses. There’s a lot that goes in to it though
Los conquistadores estaban buscando a El Dorado.
gracias, Jose.
My guess is that wellen park modern devwlopments are the main reason for the growth stat.
Its not. Single family homes
Living in RVs are normal u can rent a lot cheaper then renting or mortaging a house
The type of video people do when they don’t have shitt to do! 😂
You say you are Cuban.. but were you born here or in Cuba? Just curious.
My sister is married to a part Cuban guy.
And Nicaraguan too
One of my kids is part PR and Spaniard, (in the current 400 years) so we have some different ethnicities in the family.
Some of my nephews are Chinese and African American and white from my understanding too.
Born Cuba came very young
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS that's good. You didn't have to worry about changes much. It's stressful when you have people that immigrated here close. You get in all kinds of fights back and forth. That's just one thing I have to deal with. There are so many I want to be an immigrant to another country myself.
$80.00 dollars for a crappy plate of food, I'm stick with Burger King.
Crappy? You must not know about cuisine
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGSbut it was served on a foam plate ?
From me on the outside It's you that is assuming of what is going on
Don't be a Karen.. who cares if they park on the grass, they pay their taxes!
Right he was a bit overboard with the grass thing. If it’s their lawn/home they can do what they want.
If your going to go metal detecting get a good detector that thing missing more than if finds
What makes him valid? Nothing.
People dick on HOA coMMunities, but I'll pay a bit More to avoid this crud.
Yup
Brand new homes sitting over 3 years on the market
Send me a listing to prove it
3636 Chiron ave came on the market on 05/07/2021 and is still for sale. 😂
Do you actually live here? Let’s talk about the positives. Keep riding in that luxury car putting our homes on display
You keep saying the same over and over again! Not an interesting video. Sorry!
Maybe you can respect the retired people. They would appreciate it if you called code enforcement for them!
Northport, FL is a Cape Coral, FL wannabe.
This is not the fastest growing city in America.
Plus with BIDENOMICS being so great NOT many families are having there children move back in ! Thus the RV on the driveway D.A.
Safe in NortH port? Tell tHat to gabby petito. 😂😂😂👎
Safe for the family of the killers
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS they got prosecuted! Read the news.
North Port is not the fastest growing city. Proven wrong.
North Port sucks. Lots of empty homes year round.
I drove all around North Port in 06 through 09. Everything you are pointing out is the exact same thing I saw right before the crash.
"there heads follow your car they are really nosey"
Yet here you are recording peoples property and talking about them, Maybe you are the one who is nosey? I think any normal human would look at you to see who you are since you drive slowly Window down and a phone out recording...
Do you ever find anything good about any place you go? You are so wrong about so many things you are saying. Keep or get a day job bro.
They aint coming here to pay my rent so why should i do for them. You might he slow but these are economic indicators
1. Driving around is my job. 2. After a long day on the street we aint gonna start cooking dinner at 9pm when we get thone
So now you are a doctor. I think people know to get a 2nd opinion. Do you think all people sre stupid? Keep your mouth shut on nothing you know about.
You losing money on my opinion? Just getting started on this topic were gonna run a whole series on this soon
