This was original Dragonforce vocalist Z.P. Theart... 'Ultra beatdown' was his last album w/ Dragonforce in 2008... Theart was apparently fired in 2010 after the release of the live album 'Twilight dementia'... Apparently, there were issues w/ the singer on the road, which the band never elaborated on, but it was a blow to the band after the success they had achieved to switch lead vocalists... However, the guitar duo of Herman Li and Sam Totman were sure of their next moves... Marc Hudson (vocals) joined and did the vocals for the next Dragonforce album in 2012 - 'The Power within'... Unfortunately, it did sell considerably less than 'Ultra beatdown'... but the band didn't care - they went back on tour w/ Marc Hudson and persisted w/ new albums... and built their career back up. Dragonforce today has a new line-up today (except for Li and Totman) from this music video.
The sound what you asked is when you slide pick up instead down. Down is more normal. It needs really good mics to pick that sound up so ofc they have like 4000€ guitars.
I think it's called Hot Hand. When Li shakes the Hot hand, it creates intense vibration, allowing him to imitate exotic sounds similar to those heard in video games. This is only one example of its capabilities. The expression ring can be used in various ways, including to create whammy and wah effects.
