I love how detail oriented Harry is. I’ve always been a “cook by feel” guy, but I’ve had to learn my lessons the hard way. With Harry, he gives you the precise way up front so there’s little room for error. I love my way, but Harry’s way is amazing too! Love the vids, Harry, keep cookin!
Forgot this channel existed. Stupid RUclips recommendations. Can't believe I watched the entire video without skipping and I don't even own a smoker. Love the video. Keep it up!
Thanks so Much Harry. More gems for the Jewelry Box. I'm on a fixed income and Walmart is mostly where I have to buy. We do not get much help like this! No wonder you are world famous. I cannot thank you enough.
Yes, I shop at Walmart and 99 cent stores. No need to pay more than you have to. I'm well known for being cost-efficient and process-efficient, aka cheap and lazy!
Harry Soo hello there my friend I absolutely love your RUclips channel and all the video tutorials on BBQING and your fantastic techniques on smoking meats and all your knowledge and information thank you for sharing all the information techniques and tips and tricks of the bbq game your a real ROCK STAR, and now we all know why you’ve won so many BBQ GRAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. I am a long time subscriber and fan from New Orleans. I purchased a choice brisket from Sam’s and smoked it on my Oklahoma Joe’s highland smoker my wife and daughter purchased for me for Father’s Day. I smoked that 15lb brisket for 8hrs and then I put it into my oven at 210 degrees and let it go another 9hrs and it came out fantastic juicy beautiful and most importantly delicious.
Harry, so are so loving and kind! I know 'your best friend' appreciates you as much as all of us out here that learn from you every day, CERTAINLY do! God Bless, Harry!
Harry this is my favorite kind of video. I love seeing what can be done with the less expensive "poor man" ingredients. Getting the most out of the type of ingredients you'd pick up for your average home cook rather than pulling out all the stops for say a cookout, get together, party, etc.
That is the first time I have seen a brisket get wrapped "boat style". Thanks for sharing the tips and techniques, Harry! I always learn something new from your videos.
Please continue request videos. You are the best teacher on RUclips. We’ve had the Coyote problems with our dogs too. Glad to see Mr. Beans will be ok. Keep up the great work. 👍

Been watching your videos since I started being interested in cooking BBQ this past year. Really enjoy your videos. I'm doing my first brisket this weekend. I'll be sharing my brisket with family and of course my 2 dogs. Hope your dog is recovering well. Thank you.

Hi Harry, Long time brother. Good to see you are well my friend. This was actually a really great idea. I'm so glad you did this. Keep up the great work spraying BBQ love. My goodness, so glad to hear Beans is doing ok after going through that.
Informative video on why we purchase a higher grade of meat for a meal at home. A chef never gets tired of hearing, wow this is so much better than the brisket we had at "enter the name of your favorite BBQ joint here".
Thanks for the highly informative video, Harry! I don't do competition, but probably 90% of my backyard brisket cooks (hundreds?) have come from Walmart. About half the time I'm able to get choice. A nearby grocer called H-E-B (I'm in TX) usually carries prime for $1 - $1.50/lb more. Only recently discovered it and have found it's almost always worth the extra price for a better end result. Keep up the great work!

Harry, I first heard of you on BBQPitmasters so I was really happy to find your channel on RUclips. I did a beautiful 13lb Walmart brisket on my RecTec today at 250f. Texas style salt and pepper and spritzed with beef broth every hour or so. Wrapped at 170 and pulled off the smoker at 203 to rest for 3 hours. Outstanding!!!

Really great video Harry, very informative and interesting. What breed of dog is Mr. Beans? He is adorable. I'm looking for a 'kitchen friend' like him. So glad he is recovering and doing well. Thank you.
Ty for the video. Cooking my wallyworld brisket tomorrow to practice for the higher quality costco brisket. Mine was 54 dollars and my local costco cheapest brisket is 119 to 120 bucks.
Harry what I learned from this is in order to cook any brisket effectively... step one... cook until bark is set... probably until around 150ish. Then wrap and cook in the oven until probe tender? My question is do you pay attention to internal temperature at all for a completely tender championship brisket?
Harry, is the WSM your favorite sub-$500 smoker? I don't see a video about what you would recommend. Maybe you could do one like that one day? Love your style. Keep it up!
Harry thank you for the great videos. Would you mind doing a video on knife selection, and maintenance please? Possibly even give us some recommendations on which knives and sharpeners you suggest, maybe even provide some Amazon affiliate links? Thanks and have a good weekend!!

Thanks Harry, that was a very informative video! I didn't realize Walmart sold brisket. I usually avoid Wally world like the plague; now I'm going to have to go check it out. I've gotten pork ribs from there that also turned out just "ok". Glad Mr. Beans is ok! I'm in Granada hills in the San Fernando valley. I'm probably 2 miles from the foothills & the coyotes have taken over the streets, especially at night. You can hear them yipping & howling out there & they've cleaned all the cats out of our neighborhood. We have 2 small dogs that are no longer allowed outside by themselves in our own backyard, because of the coyotes. Mr beans is a VERY lucky dog in more ways than one now! Thanks Harry 👍
I'm so glad to hear that, Mr. Beans is recovering well. But I think, the whole time that you were telling the story, Mr. Beans only thought was," I appreciate you sharing my story and making me RUclips famous, but couldn't you feed me brisket while you are talking??" Lol. No matter how many times I watch a brisket video, I always learn something new front Harry Soo. Nicely Done. Thanks for sharing.

I like 250-275F as I like to cook Low-n-Slow
Really great video Harry, very informative and interesting. What breed of dog is Mr. Beans? He is adorable. I'm looking for a 'kitchen friend' like him. So glad he is recovering and doing well. Thank you.
Hey Jay, Mr.Beans is a Pomeranian Chihuahua Maltese mix. He is my chief taste tester!
Ty for the video. Cooking my wallyworld brisket tomorrow to practice for the higher quality costco brisket. Mine was 54 dollars and my local costco cheapest brisket is 119 to 120 bucks.
Sounds great! Good luck
Harry what I learned from this is in order to cook any brisket effectively... step one... cook until bark is set... probably until around 150ish. Then wrap and cook in the oven until probe tender? My question is do you pay attention to internal temperature at all for a completely tender championship brisket?
Bamboo skewer method was good for 100+ first places.
Harry, is the WSM your favorite sub-$500 smoker? I don't see a video about what you would recommend. Maybe you could do one like that one day? Love your style. Keep it up!
Yes, you can't go wrong with a WSM18 for $300. Yes I will do a video on pits
Harry thank you for the great videos. Would you mind doing a video on knife selection, and maintenance please? Possibly even give us some recommendations on which knives and sharpeners you suggest, maybe even provide some Amazon affiliate links? Thanks and have a good weekend!!

Harry Soo looking forward to it you’ve helped my game immensely gonna try my hand at competition this year thank you for your videos
Great video sir! Thank you for sharing! Can you inject it again before you wrap?
Sure you can.
Yes, many rabbits in Diamond Bar so lots of coyotes. The Smithfield ribs in Walmart are yummy. Try them and you'll see
Awesome as always
Thanks Justin!
Love it Harry, I'm glad Beans is back in the tasting biz.
Mr. Beans is a cutie!
Yes, Mr. Beans was saying Feed Me! Feed Me! Feed Me!
Great video Harry. Question: if you had a prime packer's cut instead of a choice or select, would you still inject ?
I inject almost all the time regardless of need grade
Haha need to coin the phrase "Pat Down" since there's no rubbing going on. 🤣
LOL! Good idea!
So happy Mr. Beans is OK. Great video, thank you.
Thanks Kurt
Cool video. Go beans. Fist bump. 👊
Mr. Beans sends his nose bump back at ya!
Great video! Get well soon Mr. Beans!!!!
Thanks Billy. Mr. Beans is a lucky dog to survive the coyote attack
Informative. Thanks! Very glad Mr. Beans is ok.
Thanks for stopping by
Glad to see Mr. Beans back in action! His appetite seems like he's good to go!
He's back to 100% now! Thank you for stopping by.
That's looks fantastic. Thank you again for the solid video. I'll be trying the injections for my next brisket. Glad Mr. Bean's doing well. Is there a spiked collar in his future? :)
If you are into injections, please see my injection videos in my Brisket Playlist
