This was included in Khurshid Anwar's magnum opus of Hindustani Classical Music performances recorded by EMI Pakistan, known as Aahang-e-Khusravi in two parts in 1978.
[Raag Mala has 10 audio cassettes, including 90 Raags in ten Thaths. Each Raag has a short introduction in the voice of Khurshid Anwar explaining the characteristics of the Raag followed by its audio performance by renowned classical singers of Pakistan.
This was included in Ahang-e-Khusravi Raag Mala Purbi Thaat / Kafi Thaat
[The second part of Aahang-e-Khusravi is Gharanon Ki Gaiyki on 20 audio cassettes which consists of audio recordings of representatives of the main Gharanas of classical singers in Pakistan.
This was in Gharanon Ki Gaiki, Vol. 2, 1978. and was later also included in The Legendary Salamat Ali Khan, Vol. 2, 1999.
This is taken from the third of the four-volume set: Ustad Salamat Ali Khan - Gharanon Ki Gaiki, Vol. 2 ('Sham Chorasi') ['Shaam Chaurasi'] released by EMI Pakistan in 1978, later reissued as 4 x File, FLAC, Album, Remastered, 16-bit, 44.1 kHzAnd, clearly, this recording is from before the stroke he suffered that year in September and was not quite the same in all his later performances with his son Sharafat and/or with Shafqat though he had a long performing career till his death in 2001.
