- In this video i'm going to show you how I paint vibrant autumn color en plein air, observing the colors and tones directly from life and translating them into color on the canvas. We'll look at color theory and apply it to this plein air painting demo. I'm using oil paint on this one but you can use any painting medium you're comfortable with. I also use a few extra colors on the palette which may have been a bit much, and we talk about some palette organization and some tricks to help you nail tonal values and color theory. So enjoy this step by step process demo and come along! If you're new here my name is Danny Sabra. I am a self taught artist. I do a lot of #oilpainting, #pleinairpainting, #gouache and #watercolor painting, urban sketching, #penandink drawing and many other things! Thank you so much! I used to only do short videos but I like sprinkling in the longer ones because I realized it’s what I found most useful when I started out myself and hopefully for those who are interested they can maybe find a tidbit here or there that’s helpful to them.

Thank you! I try to keep the paint off my skin. Makes washing up easier and some people say the toxins are absorbed thru skin. I’m not sure if that’s true but since it helps me keep my hands clean I might as well keep toxins off too if that’s the case.
