Fiona Apple's Story:
As a court watcher I have witnessed the life changing good these organizations do to support Mamas and caretakers as they navigate the criminal injustice system. Sometimes the lack of money for bail means a woman is held in a cage for months until she can tell her side of the story. Convicted of nothing she is separated from her children and other people who depend on her. Jobs are lost, homes, families, communities diminished and even destroyed -- all because of the prejudicial nature of money bail. Every little bit helps. Thank you!

I mean, there is nothing that you don't do with your whole soul, Fiona. ❤ If there are any sister programs (especially in the Detroit area) please let us know where we can find them. Love the DMV, but I know it's not the only place where moms are suffering unnecessarily.

Taking and leaving the Moms, so the children are vulnerable, traumatized and can be easily abused .. that’s what they are doing. It’s inhumane.. and also alright with the system- yuck. Thanks for the information & helpful

Giudicial system in the USA is pretty barbaric. Watching viedeos where they handcuff pregnant women because they went thru a red light or knocking a 14 year old girl to the ground and cuffing her just for being hysterical, I mean, that's outrageous.

You ought to watch Gwinnett County Detention Center in Georgia.
So many women there get stuck in a cage for minor charges for 5, 10, 15 months waiting on a court date. That jail is privately owned. They get paid so much per day, per inmate. That should be illegal!

Why is the mother of the family breaking the law when there are kids at risk? Not trying to be an asshole but why do they do illegal stuff when they have kids...honestly asking.
Look if the idea that someone might be arrested and charged when they HAVENT DONE ANYTHING WRONG just seems completely inconceivable to you, well the reason for that may be that you are not black and/or haven't witnessed how the 'justice' system works at close hand.

It’s important to note that it’s only the poor, marginalized people who go to prison for these types of “ crimes”. Unfortunately, here in America there are two groups of people. Those who are policed, and those who are not.

Because it disproportionately affects Black women and we have a responsibility to acknowledge that.

If it disproportionately affects black women, then you would naturally have more black women being helped by this organization, regardless of what it's called. But if you target a race of people that you are helping, that means you will be denying others, which is discrimination. There is no systemic racism in this country. There are no laws that affect one race over another. If there are more black women in this situation then more black women than other would be helped out naturally.
We are being manipulated by people in power to be divided. They like us divided. Like Morgan Freeman says: if you want racism to go away, stop talking about it all the time.
Black lives absolutely do matter. But the organization is a scam and is fully corrupt.

Yeah Fiona, from all your videos on this matter, I don’t think you’re fit to decide whether someone is at flight risk or a danger to the community, or whether there’s probable cause they committed a crime. As a poor person who had his house broken into and stolen multiple types, because unlike you I can’t afford fancy security systems, I’m very glad that the burglar was held in prison pre-trial and stopped terrorizing me and my neighborhood.
