I can totally relate to this. My younger sister managed the house when my brother and I were studying in hostels. She used to send money via draft ( in 1989-91) when I was doing my masters and till later. I got my UGC scholarship and I always took home stuff for my Mom and sister. Although my father was working and brother too getting internship stipend, it was a girl thing for my mom and sister to open the stuff and giggle over it and enjoy.😄
