Copper Nitrate formula is wrong. Normally when giving questions about an element with variable valencies, they give you the name of the chemical formula with the valency. The correct question should be "What is the valency of Copper in Copper (II) Nitrate?" since, Copper(II) nitrate
Cu(NO3)2​ involves copper in the +2 oxidation state. If copper were in the +1 oxidation state (rare), the formula would be
CuNO3 but this is not the compound typically referred to as copper nitrate.
