The grill has a lot of potential. Have used it a few times now and so far I’m liking it. Those huge boulders were cool! Thanks for watching, my friend!!!
Oh yes that bridge was a bit sketchy. We are enjoying the grill so far. We did a lot of rock scrambling that day. Awesome big boulders. Saw you posted a new vid, I gotta check it out. You were literally in my backyard again lol!
Thanks for watching, my friend! It is a nice spot. Those huge boulders were neat. As far as I know there’s only one good mountaintop vista in the Uwharries, Hang Glider Rock over on Gladtop Mountain, not far from Nifty Rocks.
Went on a hike there with a conservation crew today. We didn’t find these nifty rocks apparently and stopped at other nifty rocks along the way. Next time I visit the nifty rocks, I will ensure I get the full experience.
Great time out buddy. Ha, good grub and gold flakes. I gotta say interest terrain with the boulders. Your son had fun it looks. All the best over there. Mark
Thanks for watching, my friend! We had a great time. We stayed longer than I anticipated because my son wanted to climb on every rock there. I may have climbed a few myself lol!
You NEVER disappoint with awesome adventure 😍 That little stove kinda resembles the manger that Bruce @ Fabkreations makes in tiny size. I loved the tree even that your son was climbing, what a cool Dad you are 😎 And well.... THOSE ROCKS and ROCK FORMATIONS 🤩😍🥰 I LOVE ME ROCKS !!! Hope to see you at the spring meet this year and maybe get to chat a little more. Have a great week man 👍🏻
Thanks so much! Yes we love the stove so far although I’d like it to still be slightly larger since I don’t bother to grill unless its two or three people. It is similar concept to Bruce’s and others. Yeah we both climbed quite a few trees and big rocks that day. It was fun. I do plan to attend the Spring Meet, hope to see you there!
Thanks for watching, man! This was the final part of our day trip a few weeks back. Had a great day out there. We stayed longer than anticipated at the rocks because my boy wanted to climb on all of them. Mine is ten also. Next time we’re down that way we’ll hit you up.
@@SmellNRoses yes sir sounds good. You got a Facebook? If so email me @ 12stonesodadv3ntures@gmail.com and tell me how I can find you👍 You have a blessed night!
The rocks were interesting. There’s several similar spots out in those woods. We’re still testing the grill but liking it so far. Thanks for watching!!!
As much as I love grilling, its hard to bring myself to do it just for myself. We’re enjoying this grill but I do wish it was slightly larger...its a stretch to grill a full meal for two on it. Thanks so much for checking out my vid!!!
Thanks so much, my friend! Yes been having a lot of fun with this truck, hands down best vehicle I’ve owned or driven to date. The grill is pretty cool, not perfect by any means but we’re really liking it so far. I’ve used it handful of times already but so far only with charcoal. Works great just has taken me a few times to learn how much coal to use. Its a stretch to grill a full meal for two but it can be done. But I think my two person version is perfect for one lol.
Thanks so much! Yes we’re enjoying the grill so far. That’s not my normal stomping grounds so not sure if that bridge washes out a lot but clearly it takes a lot of abuse and its in pretty rough shape. I’d say the river was close to normal that day, that bridge can only be crossed during “low water.” The day we were there a DOT sign actually indicated the bridge was closed but we bypassed the sign 😬. It is a beautiful area out there and a pleasant place to visit and hang out.
I'm trying to figure out how to get to the trail to find the nifty rocks could you possibly give me coordinates? I want to take my son and we looked at looked and can't figure out where to start. We entered at hunt camp entrance and moccasin creek road
Nifty Rocks, also known as Big Rocks, is a great spot and kids of all ages love it. Its a very easy hike but as you know its not the easiest place to find. Sorry I do not use GPS so I’m unable to provide coordinates. It is located off Moccasin Creek Road, on out past the Wolfden OHV trailhead and past the turn off for the Art Lilly Campground. The parking will be on your right before the road starts heading down towards the river. You’ll park at the trailhead for the Tony horse trail. The area is not signed well but if you start going downhill towards the river then turn around on go the other way. Its a slight uphill hike. You’ll soon come to the intersection with the Nifty Rocks trail. If my memory serves you’ll probably see some of the rocks by the time you see the trail sign.
We used to break quartz rocks apart at Morrow mtn and find perfect crystals in them. Thx for sharing :)
Thanks so much for watching. That’s interesting. That area sure is loaded with beautiful quartz rocks.
That Forest is beautiful! Thanks for sharing
It is really nice out there. Thanks so much for checking it out!!!
@@SmellNRoses you're welcome!
Good looking meal. Nice grill to. Beautiful place to breath the fresh air.
Thanks so much, my friend. We love the grill so far.
Lunch looked good...and those rocks at the top were awesome...thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching, my friend. It was a good day and the rocks were very cool,
"Nifty" looking boulder field for sure! Thanks for the videos!

Nifty little grill and interesting bolders.✌

VERY cool grill! looked like a fun day! 😎 The rocks reminded me of the rock maze in PA.
We had a great time out there, good lunch and fun climbing on the rocks. Thanks so much for watching!!
Ooo, short bridge... Some of those roads look like what I was on last weekend. That grill looks cool. Nice lunch. The rocks looked like great fun.

WOW! I was expecting a big rock ledge but all of those huge stand alone boulders truly were''Nifty''. Nice video my friend!

nice hike nice lunch
Thank you so much!!!
It almost looks like some sort of menhir circle, like the forest overcame some druid site. Pretty neat.
Yes indeed it does look like that, like it could be some ancient ceremonial site. Thanks so much for checking it out!!!
Playing in my back yard again I see haha.. Nifty Rock's is awesome, me and my ten year old had a blast climbing those this past winter!

Cool grill set up for lunch! Does that bridge get washed out alot? It was so low or was the water just high, ha ha. Beautiful area.

Being a gear guy, I look forward to more tests of the grill. The rocks were cool too.
