Robert Pond I think most people would actually rather see Bernie Sanders president than Hillary Clinton (at least they think he'd make a "better president" - he does, after all, talk about real issues and won't be silenced.) But in many peoples' minds, there is still that nagging catch: "Ahh, but we have already had a "Black" president (technically incorrect - and skin color doesn't matter.) so now it's time for a woman president." And I haven't even brought up her low approval ratings and trust record - and it appears that, besides Bernie Sanders, even Donald Trump is catching up to her. I'd rather see Trump as president - if only to have a daily "comedy" in the White House. Hillary seems a bit "boring".

It's true that the Koch Bros. fund a lot of the research to disprove anthropogenic global warming, but not all of the reseach debunking supposedly human-caused climate change comes from oil companies. The question few people ask is: who funds the research that purports to prove that humans ARE the cause of climate change? Do you know the answer? Well I'll tell you. It's the Rockefeller Foundation! (What?!!) Yes, Rockefeller. How did the Rockefellers make their enormous, mind-boggling fortune?? In oil!! Yes! In OIL! Also in banking of course. Chase Bank, right?!
So what's the deal? Why would oil interests fund both sides of the debate? For your answer look up the Hegelian Dialectic. Just as the mega-multi-national corporations fund both of the major Presidential candidates, they fund both sides of the global warming issue, with the end result of impoverishing the rest of us, dismantling the Bill of Rights, taking away our liberty, and setting up a one-world totalitarian dictatorship.
I think Bernie means well, and I agree with at least half of what he says (I don't agree with anything Jeb or Hillary say or do), but he seems to have Bill McKibben pulling his strings, and that is not a good thing.

I’ll never ever forget the energy and optimism this campaign generated. My mom and I travelled to his Iowa rallies, and she attested that no candidate had ever given her so much hope. My dad, a lifelong conservative, even changed his party affiliation to democratic so he could vote for Bernie.

It is truly a dream come true that Bernie is running for prez. He is 100% real.. He is very skilled at keeping the media bobble heads on the real issues. He is the modern day FDR. He is a real slugger and speaks in language everyone can understand. I have been watching him for many years. He is on the right side of every single issue. He and Elizabeth Warren are the fighters for the middle class that we so desperately need in this corporate run USA!!!

Today we live in a nation which is the wealthiest nation in the history of the world, but that reality means very little to most of us, because almost all of that wealth is owned and controlled by a tiny handful of individuals.
In America we now have more income & wealth inequality than any other major country on earth and the gap between the very rich and every one else is growing wider and wider.
The issue of wealth & income inequality is the great moral issue of our time, it is the great economic issue of our time, it is the great political issue of our time, and we will address it! (applause)
Let me be very clear, and let the top 1 percent understand this, there is something profoundly wrong when the top 1/10 of 1 percent own almost as much wealth as the bottom 90% and when 99% of all new income goes to the top 1%.
There is something profoundly wrong... each year we have seen the proliferation of millionaires & millionaires-- at the same time millions of Americans are working longer hours for lower wages... and we have... the highest rate of childhood poverty of any ....... country.
There is something severely wrong when one family owns more wealth in this country than the bottom 130 million Americans. This grotesque level of inequality is immoral, it is bad economics, it is unsustainable. This type of (inequality) is not what America is about. This has got to change! As your president, together, we are going to change it."

If this man becomes the president of the USA and he get is policies through the US would truly be a nation looked upon in admiration and awe. Not as now, incomprehension and shock of the stupidity the leaders run the country. For the rest of the world who has to cope with the whim of the USA who has the biggest economy, military and cultural influence, it is vital that it is run by a man/woman like this.

Bernie Saunders appears to be the only US Politician who is attune to what other countries have done in legislating protections and benefits for their country's workers, and who is prepared to speak up about it. The USA is totally out of step with the rest of the developed world on many social issues. Equal Pay for Women, Paid Vacations or Paid Parental Leave are not evil "Socialist" ideas. These are ideals embraced both both successive Left and Right Wing Governments in many other countries.
Looking into the USA from an outsider's view the issue that appears to be the main difference between the USA and other developed nations is the tremendous influence donor money ($$$) from wealthy individuals or corporations has in the USA. Effectively in the United States, with money you can legally buy politicians votes and influence policies at any level, whether it be at a local School Board, County, State, Congress or Senate level. I wonder if the average American realizes how much all this donor money influences their political system at all levels. I'm not sure whether even if the majority of Americans wanted major change, that they could achieve it under the way their current political system is funded.
He's right about the time being dire. We don't have all the natural resources we had when we were coming out of the depression. The fracking boom can only continue if we trade clean water for oil. I don't want to live where I can light my tap water on fire.
