@@buttbutt6917 There is a little bit of analogy going on, a lot of what he mentions also applies to him, so he feels a kinship with the cat over shared experiences.
Learning this song was through the perspective of a street cat has just deepened my admoration to this song.
Kiltro is a hidden gem. They make some of the best music.

Already loved this song, but hearing it again as the last track on the album made me fall in love with it all over again. Feels even like a moment of empathy and understanding to a creature that all too often gets lost in the din and movement of the city, and makes for a wonderful sendoff for Underbelly. Can't wait to see y'all live next month, the album is definitely gonna be getting played quite a bit until then!

Cuchito for those who dont know its a common name for a cat here.. we also call cats making a sound similar to "cuchito" but fast and we make an emphasis on the "ch" before the "i" and sounds exactly like the "sh" in shove for example

My last live show before lockdown was the 2019 New Year's Eve show at the Bluebird, so my first live show back had to be Kiltro headlining at the Bluebird on Friday. I've never felt such a warm, cathartic vibe at a show and it was a joy to hear how tight the band's gotten in the last year. Guys, thanks for the new stuff (especially a song about a cat in a city where dogs outnumber people) and for the stellar darker reworking of songs off Creatures of Habit. I can't wait to hear what comes next!
