A storm is breaking in the Magnificent Century!
The awaited confrontation between Hürrem and the Sultana happens.
Sultan Suleiman comes back from the campaign and his return is enough to get things messy in harem again.
Will Hürrem lose her beauty?
Things don't get easy in harem. The rebellion bursting out causes Hürrem to be wounded heavily. Hürrem is determined to set the scores for what happened. She doesn't hesitate to confront with the Sultana. She tells the Sultana that she has told Sultan Suleiman everything. The Sultana is sure that her son won't believe these allegations. However Hürrem has already had the letter to be written by someone very close to Sultan Suleiman. As the Sultana learns she won't be able keep calm.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

What happened to her? She disappeared out of the series at some point and I missed that episode I guess. I always hoped she would get together with Bali Bey. I like to think years later when he rode off into the sunset he went to her. I love happy endings I guess. But they were perfect for each other.

Although Hürrem has ulterior motives, she is still right in that Mustafa should be in his Sanjak at that point. Previous Sultans went much younger, like the brilliant Mehmed II, who went at just the age of 11, and Bayezid II, who went even younger at the age of 7. Of course there were more, and this had a big impact on them, and made them twice as experienced when ascending the throne. Compare to this Mustafa, who went at 16, and Mehmed, who went at the age of 21, way later than he should've. Selim and Bayezid were also in their late teens
So, had Suleiman died young, he would've had no experienced successors and the Empire would've been at risk of an early demise.
Like, I feel as if this was done to simplify things in keeping characters in the same place, but, really, this comment hit the nail right on the head as to why I disliked the whole "harem within a harem" storyline so much. It also created such unnecessary pain around the poor women involved because, yes, no şehzade was meant to get a woman pregnant until going to their sanjaks, but that was because they didn't have their own established harems until then either.
Mustafa was 18,when he was appointed as a governor of Manisa Province.He was born in 1515,and left to Manisa in 1533.Mehmed was apointed later because when Suleiman left for the Iranian campagin(in 1534),he left Mehmed as defender of Istanbul ,then in 1537 he join to his father’s campaign in Corfu,and in 1541, together with his two brothers, Selim and Bayezid, he accompanied his father to his campaign in Buda, after the campaign Suleiman appointed him to his province, Manisa.

@@Redluna32 as per the harem within the harem thing, I'm actually surprised Mustafa got away with the "sleeping with the Sultan's concubine". Yes, Nora was still Suleiman's concubine, as Mustafa hadn't his harem yet.
In the Kosem series, Murad punished Kasim for the same thing, isolating him along with his uncle.

Now I wonder how sultan suleiman loved his power and kingdom the most that he sacrificed his son after son (mustafa, beyazad) and chose very weak son as his successor bcoz he knew he couldn’t raise against him.
