I’ve watched about 15 of your episodes now and can wholeheartedly claim this in not only one of the best channels on RUclips but hands down the best fragrance review channel by miles.
Agree. I thought I'd never like a fragrance review channel, and have opted to read about them instead, but I love this one. It's one of my few subscriptions.
Fellas....I have been very down and sick the last two days. This video has made my day so much better. Endless laughs for me. “Lovely set of balls” “She’s gone mad”, someone asking who smells like dusty old books and your wife replying “That’s me” with a smile, “smell of bum”....absolutely loved this video. Thank you.
I'm really happy to see the enthusiasm for Coeur de Noir. Any time outside of winter I realistically find it unwearable but in the ice cold air it projects this deep, sensual, really dark but also slightly vanilla atmosphere around the skin. Possibly my favourite pure winter perfume. I'm also tired of it being described as "ultra masculine" as I think that's tired and frankly utter bollocks so it's nice to see it in this context here presented as being enjoyed regardless of gender.
What a lovely review to start the year and Happy New Year to you both! I have Youth-Dew as an historical reference scent and it’s horrid. Once the scent molecules go up your nose they stay around for hours and hours. I also don’t get Mitsouko which smells like a posh old people’s home (sacrilege probably). By the way I got my cousin Timbuktu old formula for Christmas which she loves but it’s now sold out everywhere amongst the discounters along with the rest of the L’Artisan Parfumeur line in the old packaging.
Thank you for this, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing what the ladies love and loathe. My hubby doesn't wear any fragrance outside of deoderant and I can never recall him objecting to anything I've worn, however, I am not into anything overly challenging.
Oh please, everyone who is honest knows that most of Areej la Dore perfumes smell so bad. Not wearable at all. Even these two would admit it if they had the balls
What a great theme for a review! Loves and hates are always an enigma. How could anyone not love Ottoman Empire or Amouage Gold - they are such exquite fragrances. I was so surprised to see Encre Noir - one of my favourites. I suppose a strong Vetiver (which is why I love Encre Noire) is not for everyone. I loved the lighting in the Loft - it looked like you were there at night. Fragrant cheers from Toronto!
Nice one fellas! Fart gas 🤣 I had the capsules which were stink bombs and smelled of rotten eggs. My fart gas was an aerosol spray. It had this sweet muskiness that I used to perversely quite enjoy which wasn't really the point of fart gas!
Hi guys! Great review spotlight, while having a great breakfast, just amazing choices, I think people react to the old stablished scents, like it's and old fade, and the noses are telling them noo!
Always look forward to your postings. I have become a lot poorer buying some of your recs but rewarding in other ways of course. How about a list of fragrances you love too much to ever want to share with your partners on pain of death?
When first enveloped with the scent of Paisley during my trial of the hair and body wash, I was so excited about the product. I had visions of buying it by the (500ml) dozen. For myself and as gifts for family members. I told my lady friend all about it. I even saved a small amount so I could let her see what all the fuss is about. After hearing that your wife despised the fragrance, I am now even more interested to see her reaction when I see her tomorrow. lol
Absolutely love you guys! Sometimes I get the feeling you’re sitting on the organ stool (bench?)and I’m expecting a loud and really beautifully fat chord with lots of bass!:):) If you ever fulfill my wish I’ll love you to death! Greetings from Sweden!
I loved hearing about fragrances they hated. That was fun. The Rive Gauche Pour Homme made me laugh with disappointment because I like that one so much.
Loved this, so interesting thank you for sharing ....Why do I picture you both wearing Grey Flannel? I always think of this as a very suave gentlemen fragrance ( just answered my own question lol) I could always smell the violet which no one seemed to .
Thanks for this video Peter! Bois de Vetiver is my next blind buy. It’ll be my first Lagerfeld. And now I know what Bois means! I’m deciding between Lapidus Pour Homme, Cartier Declaration (which’ll take a while to save up for), and Bois De Vetiver. I’m hoping the mint isn’t too strong, I’m more interested in the Vetiver, Rose, and the Ambroxan. Any suggestions?
Great list guys. I’m so baffled by Timbuktu-I fell in love with a sample and have been unable to find a bottle with that amazing tart and sweet mango up top. Everything I’ve tried since has been primarily a muddy, resinous wood scent with none of the almost effervescent brightness. Alas, after 4 attempts I’ve given up. Curious, what year is your bottle? I suspect the modern scent is no longer what it once was...
Peter Rivera-Pierola yes, the black, newer style bottles have been reformulated. You can still get the older bottles on eBay quite a lot, and I think notino still have them.
My lady friend dislikes real oud. She reminded me of this again the other day when I wore Kemi's 'ilm. But she seems to like pretty much everything else, including the dark stuff, which she prefers to wear herself. Lucky me.
Hey ,I love you guys , could you also mention if fragrances can be had in Canada ( websites), because it seems difficult with some of the amazing colognes you review . I am a brit but been living in Canada since I was 9 years old. Keep up the great work ,maybe some amazing cheaper niches
My husbands hates BR540 on me. I used up the small amount I had and couldn’t stand not having it somewhere in my life so I bought it for my daughter for Christmas. My rationale was that she’d bring it away to college with her so it wouldn’t irritate my husband too much. She loved the gift and I think that it was the perfect intro to high end fragrances. Funny thing is that my husband loves the fragrance on her🤷🏻♀️! Go figure
My lady friend took a whiff of Floris Santal, on paper, which I think smells amazing, and gets vomit vibes. However, she did not get vomit when I was wearing it. Very odd. Which reminds me, whenever I smell Bleu de Chanel, on paper, I always pick up the aroma of vomit. However, my brother wears it often (apparently) and I have never detected it. Or the fragrance at all for that matter.
How about a video showing the top ten fragrances your partners absolutely love you to wear from your collection? Perhaps even split it into price category before detailing the top three.
I can make a long vid of my fragrances that my better half dislikes or ignores. But not sure I could make it to over a minute with the ones she likes - it'll probably be Philosykos only :) I enjoyed the vid guys, thanks a lot!
My wife doesn't like encre noir either, te me it smells like the woods and a cedar cabin, but being canadians that spend alot of time in the woods and mountains in the summers, to her it smells like DEET bug repellant, I want to get the two flankers and see what she thinks, the sport might be lighter, it's a shame cause I love wearing encre noir. She also really dislikes Bentley intense, which to me smells like a cologne a would smell on men when I was a little kid in the 70's but it seems it's a known thing that men like Bentley intense more than women.
Entertaining. Too bad you didn't mention which fragrances that are so near-and-dear that you would sooner give up married life than give up the fragrance. Breath of God: Is that not the quintessential name for a fragrance? Added to my already lengthy list of "must-try's"
I noticed, that, despite the wife's and fiance's aversions to the fragrances mentioned, the bottles were nearly empty anyway. The family that stinks together, stays together?
I’ve watched about 15 of your episodes now and can wholeheartedly claim this in not only one of the best channels on RUclips but hands down the best fragrance review channel by miles.
Matthew Riva thanks so much!
Wafts from The Loft you’re so welcome 🙏🏻 thank you for the great content.
You should check scent land as well
Keep on guys
One of the best for sure, I agree 👍🏼

Fabulous subject/aroma from heaven
I get sooooo happy when I see you have a new video up! Happy New Years guys! That screen capture....lol
TheMrZanshin thanks! Happy New Year!

Tim Wilcox sad news about Timbuktu. I have a backup bottle, and the new stuff is a shadow of the original.
Thank you for this, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing what the ladies love and loathe. My hubby doesn't wear any fragrance outside of deoderant and I can never recall him objecting to anything I've worn, however, I am not into anything overly challenging.
ON AREEJ LE DORE." If my farts smelled like that I would eats sprouts all day long". LOL
Oh please, everyone who is honest knows that most of Areej la Dore perfumes smell so bad. Not wearable at all. Even these two would admit it if they had the balls
very enjoyable thanks

your channel is amazing i think you are the only fragrance reviewers who mentioned amouage gold which i really love.
Batman 1987 thanks! Yes, I think it’s one of the best from the house, but I know lots of people find it challenging and ‘old fashioned’
Wafts from The Loft i just found your channel today already subscribed your content is amazing keep up the good work

FRAG-MENTAL then you’d probably love these two, although they’re probably a bit more expensive than your aerosol!

Tinker1960 😂 😂 😂
I just got Arab Tradition last week. It’s a great alternative!!!! Get it if you like Tuscan or ombré leather
E.R.L 2018 yes, it’s a great cheap alternative. Just a shame that in the UK it seems to have quadrupled in price!
Unusual concept......nice review guys

Interesting video. Like to hear your ladies loves and hates. How about doing a video on frags you 2 also love ❤️ and hate.
Greg Schlegel yes please
Very funny. Thanks :)
I loved hearing about fragrances they hated. That was fun. The Rive Gauche Pour Homme made me laugh with disappointment because I like that one so much.
Often the way!

Ann Becouarn thanks! We both wear it actually, but I don’t wear it that often. Might have to fish it out!

I’d live see you do list with Chris from scent land, the guy is amazing
Fahd Fprime I’ve not seen his videos, I’ll check him out
Hot lamp smell. I understand this. Dust on a bulb gives a very particular boff, makes me choke.
Rich Mitch 😂 😂 😂

Yeah, definitely look for the clear bottles with either the tree or the wave on them. They should still be available here and there.
My lady friend dislikes real oud. She reminded me of this again the other day when I wore Kemi's 'ilm. But she seems to like pretty much everything else, including the dark stuff, which she prefers to wear herself. Lucky me.

Fragrancebuy.ca is a good site. They had 100ml of balenciaga pour homme for 70 dollars Canadian which is an outrageously good deal
Hi. I’m not familiar with many Canadian sites (except Zoologists!) but I know sites like Luckscent and Roullier white ship samples worldwide
Paul Bolt we did a video on ‘cheapies’ a while ago, we may do an updated version this year ruclips.net/video/gdEAR6VeArU/видео.html
you guys should review ensar oud eo number 1 pure parfum and bortnikoff's new line, as areej le dore fans you should love those
The great Meme in the sky yes, really keen to try his stuff
quick question: will Areej Le Dores War and Peace expire or get better with time? Just want to know before spending a lot of money.
Many thanks!
It will definitely get better with time!
@@WaftsfromTheLoft thanks for the reply!

Do you think you could get your wife and fiancé to shoot a video with you?
Yes, we’ve been thinking about including them in a video, if we can convince them!

joeribt 😂 😂 😂
Love my Cape Heartache! And Timbuktu arrives tomorrow along with Al'oud.
M. S. BitEth enjoy!!
I had Encre Noire and despised it..Resold it within a month. I don't understand the appeal to smelling like black ink hahaha
It's a bold fragrance, not for everyone
@@WaftsfromTheLoft Most definitely.
Those glass ampoules were known as "stink bombs" at my school in the '70s. BTW I am also seriously not a fan of iso E super.
"National Trust fragrances" lol
I’ve said it before: I immediately know a fragrance is great if women under ninety loathe it...
😂🤣😂
Wafts from The Loft - 🙂 Great channel. Happy New Year wishes 🎄🥂 from Greece! 🇬🇷
Dam she hates Lalique EN 🤨 great review and take on fragrances 👍🏼

Sorry that your wife doesn’t quite agree with you!
hi from tel aviv israel...
שי הראל hi!
My wife loves the smell of my farts. Eggy, nutty punchy vibe.
If I do them in the bath she bites the bubbles.
Kurt Nobler 😂
True love right there. LOL
Wife loves Versace Dylan Blue. HATES Bentley for men Absolute.
I just can't stand dylan blue. Smells too much, fills up a room with a typical douche bag smell
Why would any woman want to smell like musty old books? Some ppl are just weird.

Encre Noir is aweful
minimalist crap! Its an anti-perfume 🤓
