I constantly hear from all of you how excited your children are to watch and learn the recipes that are posted here on Sonya’s Prep. An idea was born to make a video dedicated to your like munchkins. Hopefully this will be a fun and enjoyable activity for everyone in the family.
I went through a phase where I made Challah each and every week for a very long time and then I fell in love with sourdough bread. My entire family loves Challah and we have missed making it. I am currently obsessed with sourdough but still love biting into a fresh Challah on Shabbat. It is a slightly sweet braided bread that is deliciously soft and fluffy. This recipe is so easy and simple to make with a standing mixer or even by hand. Anyone can make it! Hope you enjoy it.
Recipe Ingredients:
3 Cups Bread Flour
3 Eggs
1/4 Cup of water
1 and 1/2 Tsp salt
2 Tsp Yeast
1/3 Cup of oil
1/4 cup of honey

She really is a fast learner. In these kinds of videos unfortunately mothers dont let their daugters to make the recipe, they always interfere or warn their daughters. And that decreases their self confidence, but her mother respectfully and patiently waited for her daughter.
She's a natural. I am 62, my mom is 85 and she let me in the kitchen very young. I did my first Thanksgiving dinner for 8 at age 11. I did everything thing from cleaning the turkey to serving. I'm still in the kitchen and my mom is still praising me to everyone. Love watching you. I am Catholic but love sharing my Jewish friends foods and traditions. God Bless and keep sharing.

My husband is ethnically Jewish, but he wasn't raised with the faith. I and our children are trying to learn more about that heritage. We have loved watching your channel. My children watched this video together with me and they were very encouraged by your daughters success. She worked hard and had success! She inspired my children to bake challah with me and they loved it!

Dear Miriam, you really got me with this video. Now my first challah dough is proofing. In my country it is Friday evening right now, seems to be a good time to bake a challah. Tomorrow I would like to surprise a friend who grew up in Jerusalem. I am pretty sure that my first challah will not be able to compete against the one, that his mother is baking.
