I can’t sleep because I’m sifting through youtube PoE2 content. It will be tough 32 days. What I will do to distract myself is finish 40/40 challenges in Settlers of Kalguur to pay my respects to PoE 1 the final time, because I can’t see myself coming back to PoE1 once PoE2 launches. I wonder how many people feel the same way. I think PoE1 might well become “legacy” somewhere around 2027.
minor that it low key major for builds: you can only have one of each support on your character. wasd and dodge roll are also huge. aoe skills having a huge damage nerf (or single target skills having a huge damage buff depending how you look at it.) no life on tree you chose what stats you want on the travel nodes. couch co-op (probably the best way to onboard new players, also great for console, there's very few games you can just download and play with a friend on console.)
@@beforesunsetboxing6017 I can see myself doing what GGG said they expect people to do and how they are going to release seasons going forward: When they release a PoE2 season, I play that for a month and by that time a new PoE 1 league should be around the corner and I go back to play that. I already do that with PoE1 by jumping between it and games like Grim Dawn and Last Epoch when I want a change of pace, so PoE2 is just another game added to the "loop" for me. :D

Also, historically GGG has set the price for the supporter pack at anything from 10$ to 20$ iirc, and the lifetime support threshold at 480$.
You forgot the fact that in the campaign, maps will be randomized for every league so you will no longer just do as you always did and will need to explore a bit more to find the path to the next zone.

I hope they can use this tech to have an end game campaign that is randomized, my main gripe with the campaign is that it's between me and the loot, but if it has good loot like heist or delve, it would be a great side content.
dont even like warrior style classes and this is probably my favorite section of gameplay in this video. just looks straight up fun, crips, etc. maybe it has something to do with the zone since i really enjoyed the monk gameplay trailer.
cant wait man. Already took 1-week vacation, so Nov 15th is the last day I have to work until lunch. Then vacation until Nov 24th. But Im heavily considering taking 2 weeks instead of 1 week, would be sick.

I think POE 2 will be so good, that I will actually play it more than D4. I have 5 weeks paid vacation every year, so perfect to use 5 days/1 week for POE 2. 1 week is always so short tho, thats why Im thinking about taking another week, partly with hours I worked overtime and accumulated and partly with vacation days lol

Ugh, I was hoping they'd change the skill tree. I know some people see it and salivate, but to me it's just a headache. The trees in Grim Dawn were like a thousand times better.

@@Deworario I personally don't think a mouse like that is a necessity for poe 2 but if you're feeling like buying one go for it I used a mouse with 2 side buttons and it felt pretty good, my biggest struggle was the amount of flasks combined with the wasd movement, if they reduce the flasks to 3 instead of 5 i think the game will have a near perfect amount of key binds, a lot of ppl are suggesting the devs to switch to 3 flasks instead of 5 and I have a feeling that they will end up doing this eventually, 3 different flasks would fit perfectly on a standard gamer mouse, this way you don't lose control of your movement when you need to use them
@@Deworario I think getting a 2nd hand controller might be a better purchase unless you have the worst mouse ever. the naga is decent but has some quality issues, mostly the cable breaking after a year or 2 and the buttons not being the best quality. also hitting what you want is pretty hard because it's just a grid of small buttons. instead I'd recommend a mouse with like 4 side buttons (and/or buttons on the sides of the clicks), that should be plenty for poe, but if you want more a circular pattern is better imo. looking at current mice, the g502 seems the best candidate, though apparently the cable is stiff, so it might get cable issues in the long run (though tbh it's not a huge deal, as changing a cable is pretty easy.) the evga x15 looks like a good option too if you want more buttons, and it has a dead spot in the middle which is great to avoid accidentally pressing buttons and to locate well. the naga trinity seems good, but for the price you can buy a lot of mice, and it's not even that good for what you're paying. nowadays you can get great mice in the 20-70 bucks range. though a big choice for mice depends on your grip, In my experience the mx master and mionix naos are the best mice I can buy (I'm planning on building a custom mouse because I can't find a good slanted ergo mouse), but a friend who has a claw grip hates both.

cross play/cross progression means yes you can play on pc, go back to town, close the game, jump on console and continue playing (the only thing I'm not 100% sure is if instance pausing will be cross platform, if it is that could be even more seamless.)

Every Season, _without exception,_ Blizzard makes one class SUPER OP it makes you feel "stupid" playing other classes because WHY BOTHER? Seriously. I hope POE2 doesn't end up like that. It's really bad.
For me tho major thing which the done to make PoE universe better - slow the game (no more that flying worm loothunter feeling) nad second - make less drop and make items drop more valuable. And overall D4 artstyle that's fine, D4 anyway I lost hope they can do D4 deep enough to feel the endgame, season 6 there and still nothing to do after 3 days of playing that new season
I'll wait until everything cools down maybe two weeks prior to release. Then I'll download the game. Game launch wont run just as good on the first day.
poe is not the type of game where you'd want to keep your progression for too long anyway. In poe 1 people usually play for a couple days or weeks and then wait for the next reset. Poe 2 will probably be similar in that regard maybe a bit slower. But I guess it's nice that you don't have to buy stash tabs twice.
keyboard moving change game a lot. it's double side sword. when they implemented it they made it primary method to play the game. Also game is probably balanced around it. free moving and casting skills same time has just too many advantages over click and move. Specially if there are any type of pvp. You get decimated if you don't use keyboard/pad to move.
I'm sorry but some of the things you say they're adding to this game that are revolutionary are things that should have been added at the beginning of path of exile. Standard ARPG stuff....
yeh they are dumbing the game down for people like me who thought poe 1 was too hard making it more diablo 4 like and slower. Maybe they are building you up to go faster for end game once newbies get the hang of things. End game could end up as speedy as poe 1

I did not play POE1 much because of movement. I hate clicking all the time, WASD or even better, playing ARPG with controller is much better in my opinion. For the same reason I do not play games such as DOTA2, LOL or similar.

@@rubisco5997 na I think D3 doesnt get any seasons anymore. Quite some time ago I read about the last season of D3. So you can ofc play it, but there are no seasons, so no new/changed content anymore afaik. I would highly guess that most D3 players either switched to D4 or maybe even D2R and other games. So there isnt any reason to keep D3 alive, season-wise.
d3 has been in legacy for a while, and now it's just in maintenance mode, they don't add new content. d2 is also running at the same time, but it's the same as d3, it's in maintenance mode with no new content added.
It's crazy to think about it, after 4 years of additional delay they're delivering less then half of what they promised and on top of that they're changing the business model from f2p to buy to play with micro transactions. Sure, you could wait for the 1.0 release but realistically the early access is the full release because that's when everyone will play the game.
I mean it depends on how you look at it. I do see what you're saying but my assumption is there will be new leagues for 1.0 and in all likelihood open access loot will go to a standard-like server that not a ton of people care about. Although it's hard to say because iirc leagues were not a thing for POE launch, I remember starting on standard and then when the first leagues came out it was a novel thing. To be honest I can't even remember if we got to keep any of our characters from the open beta or not.
It’s designed around both more like? They just had to redesign certain things after introducing it. But yeah, there could be instances where wasd movement feels better and then you feel forced to play it. Hopefully not though. And, age old argument of: you choose how to play the game.
its overall a very good change, it makes the gameplay better. of course it will also piss some people off. afaik you can still just use the mouse to move, but it will prevent you from attacking while moving backwards, so you will feel forced to use it anyways
i got diablo 4 free with some pc parts and i won't buy the expansion till it goes on sale....however long that takes. I just don't see the content worth the asking price....I reached endgame on the base game and was bored as hell..definitely will be a sale buy or a not at all buy.......

This needs to be for every loaded instance of the game like Diablo 2 has always done. Once every 3-4 months is good.... But not great.
That clip starting at 10:15 looks so good. The graphics are amazing. Detail is so crisp it’s eye candy for me.

It seems they've made tremendous strides in optimization for PoE2 - I am hoping (and GGG does too) that it runs smoother than PoE1!

I wouldn't expect anything to change on that front from PoE1. Meaning you are able to see other people in towns and there are guild hideouts.

yeh they are dumbing the game down for people like me who thought poe 1 was too hard making it more diablo 4 like and slower. Maybe they are building you up to go faster for end game once newbies get the hang of things. End game could end up as speedy as poe 1

I love these 21 century games. "A completely new game" With same skill effects (just better quality), same skill names, same monster names, same all around designs. Nothing nowadays is innovative as it was 15 years ago honstly. And sadly that s for all the games.
cant agree mate. They drasticaly slowed the game and make loot "smarter" these make the game totally different compare to PoE
@@vladimirsemkovich3021 it is true. And I am hyped for it. But would be lovely to see some effort at least on UI stuff. I mean make it an entire new game. Not the same system, skill tree, gems, ui kit etc. They took POE1 and made another combat style, kind off.

as for less innovation.. gaming was quite new back then. so of course there was more innovation back then.

Fairly new poe player here but that being said d4 as been so underwhelming compared to poe so I can’t wait till this releases in nov!

I did not play POE1 much because of movement. I hate clicking all the time, WASD or even better, playing ARPG with controller is much better in my opinion. For the same reason I do not play games such as DOTA2, LOL or similar.
I want to se how looks like my player with his mtx in the player selection windows ☺️ remember a long time ago i i have s discution with a lore accurate fan for this motive but i want to see in PoE1 ehehe

For GGG is even more logic to run both POE1 and 2 at same time. They catter to different public!

@@rubisco5997 na I think D3 doesnt get any seasons anymore. Quite some time ago I read about the last season of D3. So you can ofc play it, but there are no seasons, so no new/changed content anymore afaik.
I would highly guess that most D3 players either switched to D4 or maybe even D2R and other games. So there isnt any reason to keep D3 alive, season-wise.

d3 has been in legacy for a while, and now it's just in maintenance mode, they don't add new content.
d2 is also running at the same time, but it's the same as d3, it's in maintenance mode with no new content added.
It's crazy to think about it, after 4 years of additional delay they're delivering less then half of what they promised and on top of that they're changing the business model from f2p to buy to play with micro transactions. Sure, you could wait for the 1.0 release but realistically the early access is the full release because that's when everyone will play the game.
I mean it depends on how you look at it. I do see what you're saying but my assumption is there will be new leagues for 1.0 and in all likelihood open access loot will go to a standard-like server that not a ton of people care about. Although it's hard to say because iirc leagues were not a thing for POE launch, I remember starting on standard and then when the first leagues came out it was a novel thing. To be honest I can't even remember if we got to keep any of our characters from the open beta or not.

I'm really hoping now that skill gem sockets are not in gear they have a D2 socket type system coming to Poe 2
again the emphasis on designing the game around wasd worries me. I dont want to use wasd I prefer one hand moving around and blasting.
It’s designed around both more like? They just had to redesign certain things after introducing it. But yeah, there could be instances where wasd movement feels better and then you feel forced to play it. Hopefully not though. And, age old argument of: you choose how to play the game.
I also enjoy playing games like I'm Stephen Hawking.

One-handed blasting is not something PoE2 will encourage anyway.
its overall a very good change, it makes the gameplay better.
of course it will also piss some people off.
afaik you can still just use the mouse to move, but it will prevent you from attacking while moving backwards, so you will feel forced to use it anyways
My friends are mad i wont spend 40 for d4 expansion when theyre already bored of it.
i got diablo 4 free with some pc parts and i won't buy the expansion till it goes on sale....however long that takes. I just don't see the content worth the asking price....I reached endgame on the base game and was bored as hell..definitely will be a sale buy or a not at all buy.......
WASD always looks cheap to me like mobile or PS XBOX games. i dont like playing games with controller. WASD movement lame version of controller my opinion. you have more accesability to spells by using mouse instead WASD
