Syn recorded almost all tracks on the self titled album, I'm not sure about the rest though. Syn also writes a majority of it, Zacky not as much but they still have done both.
I've never seen zacky ever doing any recording... I've seen him watching syn do the recording and sitting beside him. Recording sometimes really fucks with your brain, maybe zacky doesn't do well in the recording situation so he lets syn do it and learns what syn plays.

nope i dont hear anything. either you're subconsciously substituting it in because you know what its *supposed* to sound like. or its the accenting on the rhythm guitar when syn and zack play harder on the beat
it may not be the best screams but i repect him more for being able to scream and sing and still sound good. like m shadows. (i like m shadows more though. corey's my 2nd favorite)

In retrospect, Zacky does work just as great, but its a different style of playing that what Syn does because he plays rhythm guitar and Syn plays lead
