It can happen. Happened on my fathers side of the family. People want to forget how hard these drugs hit in the 80's and how addiction works in general. It's wonderful when people can try a hard drug and not get addicted, however, that is not the case most of the time. One sibling tries it and then introduces it to the next and then it's the downfall of a family, no matter how kind and loving the mother was. I am thankful that my grandmother lived to see some of them get sober.

This is just such a sad case to watch. Once upon a time, we were Kings and Queens, black people were family oriented, we treated each other with so much love and respect. Today we have lost our way because of drugs, alcohol, lack of education, and no love and compassion for our families. In my opinion if we to refocus on our culture, teach our children where they came from, give them our history, instill respect, love and compassion back into our homes. We would be better off in the black communities if we make an effort with these things.

This is just such a sad case to watch. Once upon a time, we were Kings and Queens, black people were family oriented, we treated each other with so much love and respect. Today we have lost our way because of drugs, alcohol, lack of education, and no love and compassion for our families. In my opinion if we to refocus on our culture, teach our children where they came from, give them our history, instill respect, love and compassion back into our homes. We would be better off in the black communities if we make an effort with these things.
