    Thank you for teaching me this technique. I was just finishing a baby vest for charity last night and thinking to myself 'there must be a better way to get a nicer finish than sewing these hems. Some clever person must know how' . 😊 I'm very happy with how my work looks with the three needle cast off. Your an amazing teacher.

      Wonderful! Good to hear that the technique went well for you, thanks so much for letting me know. It is definitely an ego booster to be considered clever! 😉

    Oh this is exactly what I needed! Thank you so much, that extra row in the bindoff colour makes all the difference to the finish.

    Susanne I was wondering how to join the the squares the way you do it great thanks you so much

    Welcome back Suzanne! QUESTION; If you’ve already bound off the edges, what is the advantage of picking up stitches and doing the 3NBO rather than just a sewn seam? Is it just the decorative value?

    • @SuzanneBryan
      @SuzanneBryan  5 лет назад

      Great questions, Emily. There are times when you may want to join to fabrics that have a finished edge. For example, have you seen those throws that are worked with multiple squares of cable designs? Like a sampler? You would need to join those squares. This is just one method that you could employ. It is always good to have options. I am using this technique in the Cable Pillow Tutorial that I have on Ravelry - www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cable-pillow-tutorial

    I've seen several videos illustrating working the three needle bindoff with a crochet hook. What is your opinion on this variation?

    • @SuzanneBryan
      @SuzanneBryan  4 года назад

      That's a great idea! It works great. Either way, the results will look the same. So if that works for you, go for it.

    I have 52 stitches I need to put evenly on a back needle. I’m having trouble doing this evenly. Any advice?

      You can use it on either side. I demonstrated the right side as most people already know how to work it on the wrong side. Happy knitting.

    Shoulder sts. usually have a gradual bind off at shoulder, could I eliminate the bind offs and use 3 needle bind off with back bind off to attach ?

      Shoulder bind off for shoulder.When pattern states bind off 3 rows give a slope for the shoulder that has to be sewn together from front to back . If I wanted to do a 3 needle bind off to eliminate the shoulder stitching, how could I get the slope without binding off so the stitches left on needle can be bind off on 3 needles ?
