This quest is what my years of pain with two tigrexes shine. I have been doing this quest for a while and when i finished it i had a full plan of the fight.
Yeah, pretty sure that's not a totally intended animation for Tigrex lmao, it's like a just in case he needs to kinda thing? I'm not entirely sure, it looks funky though huh :P
Damn I remember soloing this with my Ravager Blade. Had to bring combinations for flashbombs and some smoke bombs , it was a pain because I had to grind that quest to make that good ol’ tiggy armor
i would probably be using SNS because it allows me to do my Franctic Combat, its now too fast, neither too slow, and its easier to use items. But i would most likely cart and retire so i can get the full reward
I personally think tigrex is easy with LS just use true devil slicer (thunder element) absolutely destroys him with ease. Bring 3 shock traps (2 trap tools and 2 genprey fangs) also bring flash bombs!! EASY 😊👍
That's not very practical or useful. He'll be stuck for like 6 seconds, most of that time is spent getting to him, and then he's free again. If you can get him stuck in a wall, cool, sure, go for it, but don't go out of your way to do it, because it's borderline a waste of time.
Just curious. Im mainly using gl/sns/ls/lance. From 3 weapon they have shield. Is sns viable for this quest. The mv for sns is kinda low. But i love the mobility for fast monster like tigrex. And maybe good thunder weapon for beating it. Im stuck with this quest for quite some times now
Since you're in a gathering hall quest, I'm not so sure. I made a video fighting Tigrex with SNS but it was the village elder one with a very strong sns, and It's not really too perfect unfortunately. ruclips.net/video/dHgdSmzrtqs/видео.html If you like SNS, you can use SNS, Tigrex is a handful for many weapon types honestly, it's just a hassle of a fight lol
@@HeadHunter455 thanks for the advice. Last time im using gl and having hard time beating it. Using ls takes all my healing item and 1 cart left. Lol perhaps im just bad with tiggy.
Tigrex is a pretty awful fight in this game, honestly. It's much better in later games, but he's just too fast and big and deals too much damage and we don't really have enough answers for his moves. There's ways to fight it reasonably well or even cheese it, at least, but if you don't do them, then you'll have to get really really good at the game in order to have fun with this fight. It's not great.

I was thinking about it. They don't work on Tigrex. The basics are: You have to throw one close enough to a monster before they've "seen" you (the yellow eye next to your name) As far as I know they only work on these monsters: Yian Kut-Ku and Blue Kut-Ku Gypceros and Purple Gypceros Rathalos, Azure and SIlver Rathalos Rathian, Pink and Gold Rathian Hypnocatrice I did a *little* live explanation here: ruclips.net/video/ORysq23PdI4/видео.html
Men the difference of damage a hammer can do compare to lance is huge XD, i remember using the nova hammer for this quest and kill them in 5 min each but i failed for like week before that good attempt xD

I'm aware of that. It's not before they land, they just can't have seen you. It works pretty perfectly on Rathalos. It doesn't work on most monsters in this game, according to the japanese wiki, literally only a handful. I've yet to test every single monster, or even the list that I have that do work, but either way, they're just not practical enough.
On the subject of lancing tigrex in fu, there's this video that I'd like to mention ruclips.net/video/fCMI-7Kplq8/видео.html There's some really good positioning imo you can learn from it, especially how you can stand behind tiggy's arms to get some hits on the head as he's turning around. The guy in the video's insane at lancing, does a lot of videos on lancing hard monsters. Imo you can really learn a bit on lancing from this guy if you wanna get a bit hardcore. Also Heddy, still love your videos man, not using this to say the videos bad, just wanna give some help for fellow hunters :D

Yeah, it's rough, Tigrex isn't really easy for any weapon class, flash bombs make the fight a lot more managable for sure.

I'd say GS is probably best if you're not using flash bombs.

you could use plesioth spear and butterfly armor to get evasion+2 and status atk up, bring 15 barrel bombs and sleep bomb the tigerex.

unfortunately dung bombs in MHFU only work if the monster is not aware of your location, so they become useless
