Something I really like about this mode is it forces you to think about perks you dont normally need to worry about. If someones scratch marks go missing you have to ask yourself "Is it Shadow Step or is it Poised?" Or if you seemingly randomly scream you have to think "Is it Ultimate Weapon or is it Thwack?" It really tests your DbD knowledge in a way that you normally dont have to with the way the meta in this game works
it would be cool if thats how it actually played out but instead its solo queue survivors just not using any perks and you lose the game instantly
@@Kumquat57yea most of my friends didn't even realize you could hit pause and hover over the icons if you didn't know the perk, so I feel like most people aren't using their perks unless it's a popular one.
That’s why I love this mode. It makes you change your playstyle , and the killer’s too.
ye someone disappeared out of nowhere when i was chasing them. I think it was lucky break as I had hit them and there was no blood or scratch marks nearby
I always think it’s shadow step.
But it’s usually distortion and not poised.

The blight game. The man behind that killer was a pure exemple of skill issues but not only in the gameplay but also about being humble when you get totally destroyed by a Solo Q team on one of the easiest map for Blight
Dont forget that it was chaos shuffle too lol.
But yeah survivors blame their teammates or the fact that they play soloq but killer players can only blame themselves, the survivors or rng.
Obviously most peolpe dont like to blame themselves though soo yeah guess it must have been the map....

@@zackmash851 I agree. The game or lets say the devs feed that mentality as well by making some things too strong. Like there are definitely things in this game where you have to blame the other side like midwitch nurse or ftp+ buckle. This unfortunately invites people to call everything broken or toxic for copium. It is quite silly unfortunately.

23:03 Double iri blight with Pain Res on one of the smallest maps in the game is too weak to beat survivors by chasing them. Obviously his only way to win was to resort to basement camping.

@@syn-militia9059 Nah the blight was being smug at endgame justifying the loss to the map (which was funny seeing as it's probably one of the most killer sided maps). People who talk like that have usually played a fair bit & feel confident in their own ability, but blame external factors when it comes to losing.

@@syn-militia9059wtf are you talking about. There is literally no skill if you abuse two busted addons on the second best killer in the game especially in a "fun mode". By doing so he basically admited that himself which also explains the basement camp. This is literally just sad asf and the attitude in endgame chat is just pathetic.
So yes it is absolutly fine to call that out.
As some with basically 0 DLC it's been a total BLAST to play with all these perks i'll not get the chance to use again anytime soon!

I like the modifier, just find it funny how half the players treat it as a casual que and the other half play like it’s a comp tournament.

I play using the dbd randomizer website in the main mode already and it really does add so much more enjoyment value to this game, but I understand why many feel uncomfortable doing the same.
So it's been brilliant having this opportunity for people to experience this mode (even if it is just perks) and see so many enjoying it.
This needs to stay, absolutely.
I did that a few times as well but the issue with this is that everyone else in the match still got their full meta build. Good luck with the full slow down comp blight while you're running around with no mither & self care.
With this mode tho everybody engages in it and you don't automatically become the weakest link
for some reason while playing this mode, without fail, me and my friends would always get at least one corrective action per game

That skull merchant chase was insane, also what’s insane is that the average player is supposed to know to do exactly that when in chase with a merchant!!

Dully gets faster for every survivor tracked on her radar. Her base movement speed is 4.6
Yes you can crouch but you lose a lot of distance by doing so.
Ayrun still got tracked multiple times in chase so it is not a valid counter at all. Only something you can try if you have a bit of distance.
its a good showing as to how 1) skull merchant requires 0 skillful input to play and 2) most people who play her are indeed 0 skill

Man we need to get BHVR to patch out the violent electric shocks they get from the device they use to control her when they try to do something interesting.

I love random mode on any game, cause most times I prefer the best or the easiest way to play a game, and random mode will always refresh my gaming experience

I loved chaos shuffle. Felt nice having other perks vs the same few perks in every match. I also got a match with no perks and I was like ooo just like the old days when I first started playing. I hope they make it permanent. Probably the most fun mode they've had at least to me.
That last chase against the Billy was impressive, no wonder he let you go, you earned his respect.

Tbh, I just enjoy it a lot because I am tired of meta from both killers and survivors, I also love it because its fun to not always rely on the same 2-3 perks on both sides. It also lets you see what some underated perks are capable of!! Its just the best, I'd rarely even play the normal mode if this were to be permanent. I wish addons and items were also randomized though!
I love this mode! My partner got No Mither, Dark Theory, Overcome, and Pharmacy for a match. They were obsession too.
I had Clairvoyance, Blood Pact, Smash Hit, and Empathy.
It was a hilarious game. I avoid totems unless there's an active hex, so I never got value from Clairvoyance. My partner got hatch, though.
It’s good for me, 3-4 days ago I came back after 2 years without playing and they’ve done added and changed so many perks so it’s kinda helping me relearn the perks
because of this gamemode i found a nice perk combo: merciless storm with the knights hex totem that makes you scream.

I had a double iri Blight on Dead Dawg too, we got 3 nearly 4 gens done but he slugged us all, bled us out, bm'd us, then hooked us. On chaos shuffle too. Great game! (finally pushed me to delete it)
absolutely needs to be a perm mode. also nice to test out perks you can't unless you buy the dlc's or are there for every ptb.
Chaos Shuffle should 100% be a permanent gamemode it is so much fun and it is really helpful for newer players to discover new perks and test new builds

I love this mode . Even thou most games im getting perks that give no value . Its still fun playing essentially perkless
So as you know Keys let you phase through killers coming through windows to trick them but the crows for the crow lady do as well no item needed its great!
Chaos shuffle should be a toggle in perk picking that gives you extra bloodpoints if you turn it on.

What is the tune playing in the background? Is it an old Nintendo tune? I recognise it.
I wish and hope they’ll bring it back as a normal game mode but I do have one suggestion and that’s to give us a little pop up that tells what each perk does especially for someone like me who has a somewhat good knowledge about the game but doesn’t know everything so at least it can kinda give you an idea of what you can do.
There was a good opportunity to put it the lie meter buzzer sound after Ayrun said ''I've been playing it for the last few days''
Being able to "lock" one perk of your choice would be interesting too. Maybe also banning one or so from your random options.
Something interesting they could do for chaos shuffle is randomize your character and/or items and addons
Id go even further with randomized killer as well with random add ons
A step further would be randomize if you play killer or survivor.

I like this gamemode! Though I think it'll be more fun and interesting if they also HID your perks from you lol. That way you'd have to figure out what your kit is as well as you go along.
Tbh, this mode was the only reason I was playing after 6 months. Now that it’s gone, I’m probably going back to other games till the anniversary

Btw while i was playing this i was on one of the crotus prenn maps and found a spot where demogorgan can get on top of a pallet and wall with shred (idk how to describe it but he jumped off a hill anf i hit a pallet stun while he was midair so he landed on the pallet but i think you can lanf on it anyway)

i love the skull merchant gameplay, because as a survivor, you have to we aware of the drone placement, the fact that is speeding up the killer and giving her undetectable, crouching at intervals to avoid the beams, getting hit by the beams anyway half the time, solving a minigame to deactivate them that injures you if you fail or if you have to cancel it, there is also the hindered and on top of that the locator that she has in her hand that gives her your exact location if you dare interact with her power. as killer on the other hand, you can just press a button and just chase around. if a drone gets deactivated you look in the direction of the drone and you activate it again from across the map, or recall it and place another, perfectly balanced
i'm thoroughly enjoying this game mode, the only thing i don't like is the number of games i have where i just have dead perks, at least as a survivor. I just played 6 games in a row where 2 or more of my perks were completely impossible to get value out of, typically due to either requiring blinding the killer (without having a flashlight), being so niche their circumstances never came up (counterforce, friendly competition, mettle of man) or being actively detrimental (scene partner when the killer had basically permanent blindness). Also shout out to the match that made me stop playing for today, where I got no mither + plot twist, making me permanently injured while also completely killing any possible value of another perk.
i would love for the ability to see what perks you're *going* to get so you can at least like, swap items to get some use out of them, or let the randos playing with know that you rolled deliverance or something.
Great mode, it is refreshing. I do find a lot of survivor perks are incredibly niche and don’t get value out of them, sadly, which imo says a lot about the state of perks as a whole. But still nice to see them and try to utilise what I can.
