Thanks! Cardboard is genius. I was using too hard of materials originally. I used to make these for my kids too. I didn’t staple them, but you can sew through the seam with a sewing machine! Or I’ve also created a binding with embroidery floss which is pretty.
Love this and it's just what I needed. Wanting to make a care instructions mini booklet to ship along with my art. I will have printed interior pages though as the instructions will change depending on the art. This will work great for assembling them. Thank you! Heidi
Just FYI, I put two pieces of cardboard below my book but when I stapled it, as shown, but the staples went through and plunged holes into my desk. So make sure to do this on a surface that can take holes- maybe on carpet.
I use some I found at a local paper supply company. It's very similar to the Silhouette brand, but it was a better price. This paper on Amazon looks similar. amzn.to/2e5gQu3 It's a great price. I'm still trying to find some with a finish that will make my colors rich like the Epson paper I talk about in the video. You can still get great color on it if you choose high quality print settings.
Skip straight to 3:30 for the actual tip if you want to bypass the unnecessary fluff before it.
Thanks😁

Duh! I'm making Christmas Carol booklets and needed to staple them...Thanks Amy! I had to watch the entire video as it was so well done.
So easy! I discovered another trick--if a staple goes through, but bends, you can take an unused staple and push it through the holes already created.
I happenee...but then I kept more carboards underneath problem solved:)
