    Dear dear Rachael, what a lovely lady you are and your personally just makes it so pleasant to watch your videos . I love how you bubble over about your plants, I love my plants also but watching you makes me appreciate them even more ,I love how you rescue plants from clearance that's where I always look first not only because price is reduced but just the satisfaction of saving them from the trash, also finding pretty catch pots at thrift stores is the best can always find perfect ones and so cheap. Thank you for the joy you make us feel about our plants

      @lotsofpots.Rachael  Год назад +1

      Good morning Carlos!! I saw your Exotica in your last video. She looks amazing!! The leaves are so very big and happy. If you don't mind me asking... did you have to attach it to the base of the ficus or did it just gravitate naturally? I did try to train one of my pothos plants climb up my dragon tree. It didn't happen, but it did make the dragon tree plant work hard and produce sprouts all along the base of the plant. It was amazing!!!!

    • @serenitygardenaviary
      @serenitygardenaviary Год назад

      @@lotsofpots.Rachael @Lots of Pots wow, that sounds amazing. The Madagascar Dragon Tree? My two dragon trees have such small stems/trunks Exotica would easily overpower them. Scindapsus is in its own pot resting at the base of the Ficus Benjamina. I casually placed a couple of the vines on a couple of branches and thought I would just see what happens. She seems very happy because there are new curly shoots emerging near each branch. It isn't attached though. I wanted the freedom to move her easily if they didn't bond.
      (Funny, my Rescue Pothos was in with this same tree and he wasn't having it. Wanted it out. The pothos and the two containers of cuttings. 😁😆😅🤣)
      I tried a similar pole dance with Exotica about six months ago, but discovered she wasn't properly rooted. 💃🏾She's working it now!

    Hi Rachel! LOVE LOVE LOVE Scindapsis too :) I have 9 varieties! And I have doubles as well! And I did order a dark form, 1 leaf, a couple years ago....and it never rooted...so if you get a dark form I recommend at least a 4 in plant! BWH plant co sells them! I have one in my cart! Hopefully this year I would like to get again! I got a big boy exotica too! And I live at the home depot too! And I home school my 3 girls...12, 11, and 9! So I am for sure on your wave length :) all of us who love you will make sure you get some more scindapsis....my home depot a couple months back had such nice silvery annes....so keep your eyes out! you would love the jade and splash, and my first is just a siver satin...I think it is called....it is darker than exotica and grows so nice....but has a generic name...Im not sure.....anyways....yes it is so hard not to buy doubles....going to watch your dining room tour next...some how I missed that video! Love your look today too :)...love tina MN

      YAY! TO HOMESCHOOLING! That's awesome! My 11 year old is the one who works in this space. We have a classroom upstairs, but right now, it is our high school and a music room.
      Wow! Nice varieties of Scindapsus! That is awesome! I'm sad that your dark form didn't make it. All of the pictures I see are of just a few leaves. Maybe they are more sensitive than the others. I have to learn to identify the didn't varieties when I see them. I don't want to pass on something and then find out it was something I should have jumped on.
      Thank you so much for sharing online store with the dark form.

      Most of my scindapsus, if not all of them receive south facing light. Some of them are right on the window but my moonlight plants are pulled back about three feet. There is no curtain in the window, but there are large trees outside of the window. The moonlight was marked as a low light plant so I was afraid to put it right in the window, but that is what made it do very poorly in the beginning. they love the light the receive.
      I hope you find a silvery ann very soon. I have been seeing them pop up in the home depot and lowes at amazing prices.
      I hope this helps. Enjoy your evening!

      @@lotsofpots.Rachael I’m sure yours is going to grow so much! Mine is currently in water. It had a root rot but now it’s ready to pot back up but I’m nervous.😩

    I don't remember hearing the name of a few plant you showed. I think you said arjuraus. Is that the same as the Silver Ann? I think I want one. I have the first one and mine is trailing. I also have a moonlight which has taken forever to grow from a 1 leaf cutting.

      Awww... I am so sorry to hear that Craig. I was told that even with our best efforts, some plants don't thrive as much some of our other plants because of the makeup of that particular plant. I have one begonia that has been in my care for two years now. It has on average four beautiful leaves. It flowered at one point, but still just four leaves. Its happy, but this is just the way it is with her. In time maybe they will both get so happy with all of the TLC that we give them, and they will start to grow happy and strong.
      I appreciate you sharing your experience with your plant baby. I hope you have a wonderful night!
