Fore warned is fore armed ! In the end we used our own 😂 thanks again both and can’t wait to see you abroad maybe x

    Happy new year to you both. We use our air fryer pretty much all the time. Well cooked sausage in about 14 minutes and jacket spuds are great microwaved for a few minutes and finished in the air fryer.

      @Peteandchelleuk  19 дней назад

      @mickevs happy new year to you aswell. Airfryers are good but not convinced that they are going to change the way we all cook. Suppose it depends on what the food is and what ever is the individual cooking needs .examples are can you do a full English breakfast in an AF ? Sunday roast? Maybe even a sandwich 🥪 haha 🤣

    Hi guys, hope you both had a good Xmas and a happy new year for 2025. Never mind storm Darragh have you seen the past few days 😂. Those sausages are nice, take a bit longer in my air fryer too, as do most things when I'm starving 😂. Keep that camera rolling for next time 👍. All the best xx

      @aprilelsy3308 hi to you and all the very best for 2025 .yeah we have heavy snow currently and it's causing some problems up north. Never mind it will clear soon ready for our new travel plans. Airfryers are good but not totally convinced they are going to change the world of cooking as they do have their down sides .yep gotta keep that camera rolllinggg 😆 🤣 😂

    Hey Pete and chelle nice to see yous back. I love your vids. I cook in the air fryer but sometimes I think the old fashioned frying pan is much tastier. I bought some pork sausages with apple from Asda and tbh they were rubbish. Cannot seem to find a good sausage maker nowadays. Can you remember in the 70s when smedleys(I think) sold Wiltshire sausages out of a tin and they were absolutely beautiful

    • @Peteandchelleuk
      @Peteandchelleuk  18 дней назад

      @geoleolecky5056 thank you for your lovely comment ❤️. Airfryers are OK but wouldn't totally rely on them and as you say the good old frying pan which let's face it has stood the test of time and the good old domestic oven .all these new kitchen gadgets like Airfryers wonder if they are still in people's kitchens in 20 years time haha. You are absolutely correct in saying foods and flavours have changed and not like it was years ago. Not shopped in Asda for a long time. Morrisons is quite good. Even our local butcher doesn't stock anywhere near what they used to and tbh even their standard has dropped. Someone else mentioned these tinned sausage. Can't personally remember them but yeah how things have changed over the years. Thanks again for your lovely comment ❤️ 👍

    I tend to drop the cooking temperature by 20degrees compared to what I would use on a normal oven , then also drop the cooking time by around 15% .
    Sausages I tend to do at 180 for 15mins in the airfryer , turning half way through

    • @Peteandchelleuk
      @Peteandchelleuk  17 дней назад

      @1mannik and does it work every time? Ours took longer but as you probably know yourself you know when they are ready and some people like sausages cooked nice and browned off haha

    • @1mannik
      @1mannik 17 дней назад

      @petenchelleuk I've done everything in an airfryer , whole chicken , wings , thighs . Chips , roast veg , sausages , frozen fish , chicken strips , etc
      I have baked frozen pies, pasties etc, but I think they're are slightly better in traditional oven .
      All using the method described. Best advice for u to learn what works for you .
      Drop the temperature by 20 degrees, set it for the time it would normally take in a traditional oven . Always turn half way through.... then at around 75% of the completed time check to see if it's cooked. It not continue cooking , if u want to brown something off , hike up the temp

    I've actually not even bought one yet, I don't know if it's better but I'm used to my oven and it heats the kitchen up this winter, lolz.

    • @Peteandchelleuk
      @Peteandchelleuk  18 дней назад

      @KH0RIUM well we've just got a single tray/compartment one and we know you can get the bigger ones with double size but still not totally convinced by them. I mean get the concept of then but depending on what meal you are cooking you can't cook everything in one go maybe because of space. We use ours now and again but couldn't totally reply on them. Still prefer using the electric fan assisted oven .oh and another thing don't understand why they are called an Airfryer ?? as they don't fry .an Aircooker maybe 😆 🤣 😂

    Hey Pete and Chelsea thanks for your reply. If you ever go through Winlaton there's a butchers shop called hiltons. The stuff might be a little expensive but most of the stuff is gawjus. Proper old fashioned butchers shop and Adam who owns it is a good guy and always helpful. Although it's had different owners over the years the only thing I can fault is the pies but to be honest I still buy them especially the plate pies.
