@kezzacollinson621 it was a lovely well presented plate of food kezza and reasonably priced and do you know what we've been in pubs/restaurants and ordered a small/kids portion Sunday roast and had 2 and sometimes 3 roast tatties before but don't tell anyone haha. This place yes just the 1 😆 🤣 😂
As we say in Scotland, it looked 'BRAW' (Brilliant). Aye, nice video guys, top notch food, made me hungry, lol. I'm waiting on my local fav Chinese opening back up on the 20th, they went on holiday. There is plenty of others around but I'll only buy from them, (you know that feeling when you've found you're special place, that's it, lol)....some smoked shredded chicken, sweet and sour sauce and chips. Mrs loves something different. Great wee video, glad you had a nice time guys. I'm forever checking when you post a video. Can't beat a Sunday roast.
@KH0RIUM well there you go we've learnt something new from the Scottish terminology haha. We are the same in terms of favourite places for whatever dish we fancy. Chinese food is definitely one of our favourites. Love Indian cuisine. Thai. Everything really. Got plans for some brand new vlogs coming so keep an eye out for the 🔔 and thank you for your lovely support xx
the place looked nice but the food looked quite sad and the lack of roast potatoes was dismal. I wouldn't recommend the place but that's your choice I guess. but thanks for the video.
@andrewburton9643 it's a small/kids portion just incase you missed the information on the video therefore you are not going to get a loads of anything on the plate. This place served us what we had that day. Maybe they change the vegetables each week not sure but it's nice to have something different now and again 👍
@andrewburton9643 no worries haha but bet you're school report reads "must pay more attention " haha. Tbh even some adult size plates don't even put that many on these days but yeah thanks for your comment and thank you 👍
It looked lovely, that’s the size I go for too, hate being so full you can hardly move and feel uncomfortable .Might give it a try next time I am in town on a Sunday.Did you walk in or was it booked?Another nice place is the Hudson we normally book though as it gets busy it on a side entrance or the front of the hotel opposite the central station ,another lovely one is Tomahawk on Quayside the carrots are Devine ,we tried another a few doors along from there can’t remember The name loads of pink flowers outside it was shocking even though food reviews were good we took ours back customer service was crap too .Babucho Quayside again is lovely .
@allycat5004 hi ally. Yes we always go for small portion sizes. You seen in the vlog the portion size which is enough for us 2 and anyone else that's the same as us and you save money because the bigger ones are quite a bit more money not to mention avoiding food waste aswell 👍.some good recommendations there ally thank you for that. We will be back reviewing more places in Newcastle as and when we can and thanks for your lovely comment ❤️
Our festive 2 or 3 course menu, available from 25th November to 29th December, features a delicious range of seasonal dishes perfect for celebrating the holidays. Begin your meal with comforting starters like our Spiced Butternut Soup or a fresh Winter Leaf Salad. For mains, indulge in our PTMY Traditional Turkey Roast, savour the tender Braised Beef Feather Blade Duck Fondant, or opt for the delicate Pan-Seared Seabass. Finish on a sweet note with classic Christmas Pudding, a rich Salted Caramel Brownie, or a warm Spiced Fruit Crumble. Many dishes can also be catered to vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free dietary needs upon request. ....... £30 each 2 course Yikes! I think I'd go to Toby Adult 2 courses for £13.49 each Newcastle.
I was in the Toby the other day and it was utterly atrocious. Server arguing with customers, no mashed potato available on a Sunday (we turned up at 12), loads of charvas in, most folk in there wearing tracksuits or gym gear. Yes, it’s cheaper but sometimes paying a bit more for a nicer atmosphere and some decent customer service is worth it. Depends on your priorities I suppose.
@Realtalk43 tbh we've had good and bad from Toby Carvery. Our biggest criticism is that there's too much cream based things. Much prefer a selection of meats cooked well with a good selection of fresh vegetables and proper home cooked Yorkshires and it's sometimes nice to see different vegetables on every now and again. This place Pleased To Meet You even had freshly chopped mint sauce. Little bits of attention to detail makes it a good eating experience. Nothing fancy and posh just good flavoursome food done well
@jaywelsh570 it was our first time eating there. Ok we had small portions but Our food was delicious and priced well .we all have different opinions but we enjoyed it and thank you 👍
Looked like a couple of nice plates, well presented and that price is incredible value. However, they need to sort that pork out. Shouldn’t have been served imo no crispyness - that’s basic stuff.
@Realtalk43 you are absolutely right. Exactly what we said 👏. Table next to us ordered the same and theirs had a lovely crispy fat crackling which was noted haha. Definitely return and Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try it. Small portion is enough and it's good value

As a local and someone who’s tried his fair share of Sunday lunch hot spots in Newcastle, I actually have Pleased to Meet you as one of the best! Biggest issue I find is consistency, we all know the good places to go, but one Sunday they’ll be phenomenal, then you go back and it’s average 🤷🏻♂️
@38mickbell hello Michael. Do you know what you are absolutely correct. Couldn't agree more. Good Food is one thing but producing that same standard every day is something else. This was our first visit and the building and interior of the restaurant is lovely but the main experience you will remember is the food. We Review every food levels and consistency is the biggest factor
Looks good, I would have had lamb and mint sauce too ❤ I have to say that the staple 1 roast tatty is a bit tight….even for a small roast 😂😂

@LaoshiChristine it's a small/kids plate as shown so that's what you get. If you want the bigger portion go for that 👍
looks nice, but only 1 potato? wow...
@TheWeardale1 kids/small portion so yeah that's what you get
Meat and Yorkie looked ok but portions absolutely tiny, need loads of crispy roasties or mash on a proper Sunday dinner 👍

@petenchelleuk Ah right, missed that. Looked nice though. Even a kids portion should have a least 3/4 potatoes though. But great video 👍

@nigel8499 thank you for that information Nigel. Top man 👍. What would you choose from this menu ?
@@Peteandchelleuk at Christmas, if available, I'd always have the Turkey. Probably the in butternut soup to start.
@nigel8499 good choice 👌

I'm amazed by how many food review influencers use their cutlery cack handed.
It’s what’s comfortable, if everyone was the same life would be boring lol
Please to meet you is overpriced but good video
